First person shooter

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

/what Arch and Loc said

well said, guys, Flashpoint is sheer brilliance. not really an fps, imho, but ur right, it does look like cr*p and unless u patch it it's as buggy as *** but the game is so toatlly absorbing and gives u so much freedom that u don't really notice those faults, and besides, it gives u just what need visually, so u can concentrate on the essentials.

must get round to finishing SoF2 sometime soon.

Only 2 ppl have said Halo?!?!
Halo and Metroid Prime were both pretty good, Halo better of course.
On second thought, Halo is the best, and no other FPS games exist.

My only fault with halo is that those morons at microsoft released it for XBox first
and now we get to be made fun of but consle boys.

AvP2: what a load of crock.
HALO: you complete it...now what
HALO: are ALL the levels the same and highly repetative...i think so

aLL halo levels are not the same, only the library and parts of Guilty spark are repetitive.

My first FPS was Duke Nukem 3D. After that, I played almost every populair FPS: HL, SoF, MoH, Deus Ex, H&D, Wolfenstein (both), Unreal Tournament (both) and Unreal (both) and I shouldn't forget SW: Jedi Knight II. Then the storu of Red Faction (you know: the "you can shoot to some walls" game. My uncle gave it to me a week after it was released (he was bored with it). I started play MP only. I don't know wether it was tht the community was so weak or I was so strong but I finished first on the fraglist every single game! It was just insane!

Now, I have to go and buy Call of Duty so I can pass the time before HL 2 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. come out

Call of Duty, Halo, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Medal of Honour Rising Sun

Along with Freelancer, I'm never off of my PC!

my fav, and it is the mother af all FPS multi-player on console, is Goldeneye on the Nintendo 64. it is by far the best I have ever played. Only thing that comes close is Perfect Dark on the N64. I still have Goldeneye get togethers every once in a while with friends that haven't gotten on the Halo bandwagon.

When it comes to playing an FPS on a console I've got nothing but 3 words for you: mouse and keyboard.

Post Mon Dec 15, 2003 7:15 pm

The last FPS I played on console was Perfect Dark, the new consoles just don't seem to have the spark that they used too. I've almost completely converted to PC for all my games. I just got Call of Duty, which is by far the best FPS yet. (and yes I do own Halo, and no, I didn't find it that good.) Of course, what converted me to PC was Freelancer, which is a great game, but now starting to wear a little thin, after almost 6 months of continuous playing...

There is one reason to stick with the console type FPS over any other and that is the company, the companionship, the comradery, the ability to throw together a game at any time. If you and a dozen of your friends wanna play a shooter on a PC then you have to go to a gaming house and rent out twelve PC's. With the versitility of halo(xbox), or a revolving game play on a N64, then you are all in one or two rooms with food and drink and fun for free... Not by yourself at you desk or renting out a room where you can't even have soda and prezzels.

That and the N64 controller was made for FPS!!!!!!!!!

My fave FPS is AVP2. I love being the aliens. After that, it would have to be Perfect Dark for the N64, and then Counter Strike.
