There's the Q: I've been offered to buy a series of books (or, at least, I've been told it's a series) by Steve White and David Weber based on a computer game "Starfire". Since I never played the game, I don't know if it's any good and, consequently, dunno if the books are worth a shot. If anybody played the game and/or read the books, could you please give your opinion?

Just remember...if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

iirc it's a board game involving epic-scale space colonisation and warfare, but it plays more like an old-style RPG with loads of add-ons and sequels. The books are fiction derived from it. I think it was ok, I never got into it but some of me m8s did. Huge universe apparently.
