I''m off... ...now i''m back

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Nice to have you back

it is?

@ff: yeah you do. i'm no good with figures but i'd say youve brought up a million (to use another Father Ted reference) times now where youve gone on about your film career. The jewish thing was Spear. Every time that guy posted there was a 90% chance h'd bring up his religion. I think in the end he did it just to piss me off. Some newguy would come onto the forums, everyone would say hi, then Spear would go "i'm a Jew! i live in sweden but i want to go back to israel and join the army, arent i great, cause i'm Jewish". I went on a big long rant about it one time and really layed into him about it. But it didnt really get the job done Hell he had in his sig "i'm Jewish TRA LA LA! I'm Jewish but lets not make an issue about it. I'm Jewish TRA LA LAAAAAA!". He resented people holding it against him or soemthig, yet no one gave a flying ****, probably because of the strict no religion rules this place has. So he'd ask multiple times "is it cause i is a Jew" and everyone would respond "NO, its cause your being a dick BECASE you think its cause you is a Jew" if you see what i mean.

Thats just a little story, and the similarities with your film industry aspirations of grandeur are only minimal at this point. I dont expect you to become a dick or anything, i just wanted to let you know i'm onto you

dont worry, im not gonna go to those lengths, i'll do my best to tone down the film career stuff, but i dont think it would hurt to let ppl know what im up to.

Somewhere I remember Spear, I have seen him though I just don't know the whole history, but if it is true I am glad he is gone again.

But on to the point at hand, Welcome Back to the land of the living Archie,
I haven't played KOTOR but I have seen several recommendations to it, as good as they were. (as in nothing below 80 percent, Nowhere!)

I hope you enjoyed it. I really do.
but anyway WB. Nice to have you back in your old Raving and Ranting ways

Spear was Arcon's nemisis, somewhat of an Israeli Nationalist that needed a hair cut

OT: Welcome back, prepare for the SSJ's upcoming reign of terror! mwhahaha

my first go one kotor...*waves goodbye to seven hours*

I picked up KOTOR yesterday and dumped 12 hours into it without making much progress, I'm thinking im going to be on it for 40 hrs minimum. It's a bloody fantastic game though, it's like the chocalate eclair of gameplay, thick and rich. You can see where the 4 gig install went though, every dialouge in the game is using a real voice and not some gammy text job like Morrowind. It's definately the best game I've played this year and more than makes up for the monumental disspointment that was Jedi Academy.

I reslly don't see how everyone finds it so gripping! The interface is not intuitive, you don't do the actions, the game does (ex: it aims, not u) and you are always listening to that stupid guide of yours and other instructions. Really guys, have I just not gotten to the fun part yet or somthing?

Disclaimer: above post to be seen as imho

KOTOR is a very good game. The plot, while generic, is of a high standard, and the voice-work is excellent! I played the hell out of it. Some good mods should be coming soon though.

The above post is true, and by true I mean "false". It's comprised of lies, but they are entertaining lies and in the end, isn't that the real truth? The answer is "no".

Warlord, it appears you are not too used to RPGs are you? Do you know Dungeons & Dragons, hit points, rolling dice, taking turns? well thats what this game essentially is. If you had to choose exactly when to hit and exactly where to aim, then the game would be about YOUR skills and not your avatar's skills wouldnt it? In which case, you would only marginarily improve throughout the course of the game.

the way the game works is genius. Once you understand the necessity, you'll 'get it'

so to speak
