Well zlo, I guess I can't say much to that. Oh wait... no, sorry I thought I had something then, damn! .

Lynch me, eh? Well only if you use nylon rope. Those conventional twisted natural fibres are murder on the skin.

Maybe we'll use fishing line, the weight of your body would likely cause it to sever your head.

That is the first time I have ever been able to use the dead icon in conversation.

That's not irony, that's a pun and a bad one at that.

Nah, just the last part. And it wasn't even intended to be a pun. It wasn't until I read back that I noticed it. But thanks for for mentionning(sp?) it. I won't forget it (<-- That too is irony, bitter irony)

Gee sS, what an achievement,...<pun part> <to emberrasing to quote>

That was the irony part.

Edit: I ran out of Smileys. Just to let you know I have no real harsh fealings (<-- Ooh, found one (<-- and another))

That wasn't irony either, that was mockery.

Pun? Pun? Somebody wants a pun? I love puns! Ok here's one...

SS - "Maybe we'll use fishing line, the weight of your body would likely cause it to sever your head."

Esquilax - Well don't leave me hanging around! .

@Esq

Well don't leave me hanging around!

I'll give that to you as a pun, though technically it isnt. If my statement held true and you were decapitated, your body would have fallen and wouldn't be still be hanging.

Sir Spectre

So, he wouldn't be hanging around then.

Life: No one gets out alive.

Post Thu Dec 11, 2003 5:23 am

@RILMS, yeah but the subject matter was proper and my original statement relies on the fact it would decapitate him. If might only slit his neck but not break the neckbones.

Talking about thread hijacking
Anyway, I received the so-much-craved-for greetings and now can enjoy your company. Perhaps I should delete the thread now? Whaddayasay?

Just remember...if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

@sS: Ironic mockery?

Edit: Damn spelling.

@Nickless

@sS: Ironic mockery?
Possibly. Irony usually relies on not expecting a certain outcome, you were mocking thus you expected your statement to be contrary. Irony comes from things you hold to be true, that are proven to be the opposite by actions resulting or originating with you. That doesn't encompass all it, but it's short sweet description.

SS and RILMS - While I would LOVE to debate the validity of my pun with you, but I have become rather paranoid about not getting threads locked. Therefore, I will not comment on this. Damn! I had some good semantic cards to play!

Oops, better get back on topic........ erm..... Ok, here's one.
So tell us zlo, how long HAVE you been gone? Weeks? Months?

Yes, that's a good one .
