Most Annoying Videogame Monster ?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Ethereals from X-COM. They spot you, and basically half your squad automatically defects to the aliens. Well... after getting a psilab you can weed out psi-weakings, but it's just nasty before then.
(Stupid sectopods and their incredible armour...)

Oh, and sectoid leaders are nasty, too. Even more so than ethereals, because I tend to avoid ethereal missions if I can help it. Those sectoid leaders always pop up two weeks in the game on a terror mission, and then you have pretty much unarmoured troops ready to panic and/or kill themselves.

The little yellow spiders in that big dungeon after Stonebridge (or something like that... havent played Dungeon Siege in a while). Sure, they only have 2 hitpoints, but they come in swarms of 30 and kill your packmule. You cant kill them fast enough to save your mule, or the loot it carries.

ah X-Com I remember that game...great game...Hard in the late game however.

All this talk about Black&White and no one mentions Nemesis? It took me ages to finally figure out how to get around those damn Mega Blast miracles to convert his last village.

Otherwise, in any action/shooter game, any small, fast moving, hard to hit enemies piss me off. Not that I'm a bad shot, or anything, it's just that they usually come in such huge swarms, it's hard to keep from smashing the computer screen in. (Which reminds me, I coulda swron...who was it, leonheart? yeah, didn't he posted about such an incident a while back?)

Cliffracers in morrowind. Ugh i hate them. These little flying dinosaur type things that are EVERYWHERE. They are about average difficulty, but they are for frickin everwywhere. And, they usually are in swarms of 2-6. Ughhh, i get angry just thinking about them.

See you in space!

Scourge,Ultralisks,Marines, and Reavers are about as annoying as you can get in starcraft. Not to mention cloaked nuking ghosts.

Ok, I got a few of these.... lets see:

Gryphons from DAOC : They pick you up and take you to their nest for a duel, its nasty if their alot stronger, and theres nobody to save you either if your in a group, your basically kidnapped. Theres several types, one of these is the one above, there are those with no nests who just pick you up at great heights and drop you, the only way to break their grip is with a melee attack and it only works 10% of the time, and you still fall (luckily every class has some sort of basic melee so your never completely hopeless if you keep attacking)

Huge Green Demon Thingy (Serious Sam 2): It fires tracking balls that do pretty good damage, you have to shoot them to make them stop, and the green guys are always far away and hard to spot.

Those Bone Cattle Things that throw chains (serious sam 2): these are bloody annoying, theres no truly effective weapon against them (1shotkillweapon) unless they get close, they dive at you and you can dodge that easily, but its not so easy when your in a huge battle or theres 10-15 of them. even then they throw chains from far away and pelt you to hell and back with em

Rippers (Giants: Citizen Kabuto): These are nasty, theres 2 types, the smaller type is easy but just when your about to kill him he digs himself in and appears in a completely different area (still close enough to shoot you though) and theres blue rippers, which are quite common, can attack at EXTREMELY long range, do very good splash damage (its good their missiles dont track targets) can dig themselves into the ground, oh, and they are BADASS siege engines, so when you got a base these will be the ones to level it (means no ammo refills or gyrocopters, but once you upgrade to Stone Walls it doesnt present much of a threat)

Moloch from Mortal Kombat: I ****ing hate him, i dont like fighting games but i still need at least a few fighting games when i wanna compete with friends (currently only Soul Calibur II and Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance)

Kirov from Red Alert 2: These are really nasty, their very very damage resistant, and theres only one unit that can truly destroy these (Aegis Cruisers) and even then it takes a while, otherwise, not seeing one as it closes in on your base usually means death

and thats all for now, theres plenty more i cant think of right now to list.

While we're mentioning B&W, anyone else find they're own creatures were quite possibly your bigggest adversary? The number of times mine would crap on a villager and then eat him were countless. I never taught it to do that, it just figured that hilarious party trick out on its own. Then there were the times it would try and help by lobbing trees into the village store and instead wipe out the nursery with badly thrown shots.
