Most Annoying Videogame Monster ?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Most Annoying Videogame Monster ?

My 2 Votes would go to......

1) The mine levels in Mace Griffen: Bounty Hunter have these small, fast moving spider-like creatures which can kill you in ONE hit. This would just be a minor annoyance, if they didn't come in packs of ten or more every three minutes like they do in the game, but are a MAJOR Annoyance and can cause bouts of hair pulling and attacking the keyboard.

2)Headcrabs from Half-Life, with their non-avoidable jump attack (unless you have super reflexes) and their commonness around the facility (usually around corners and in dark corners etc). Most say use the crowbar, but they never sit still long enough for you to use it. However Half-Life's great gameplay makes up for this little pest.

The third boss in Veautful Joe for N Game Cube.

If he gets you in his jaws, no matter how many life points you have, you die. It's fraken horrable!

Life: No one gets out alive.

pfft are you kidding? headcrabs are easy to dodge.

mine would be cliff racers on morrowind: the bloody things swoop at you around every corner.

the X-Creatures in Return to Castle Wolfenstein, I really hate those ugly nasty things. Also the Undead Legion, very hard to kill with owt but grenades froma distance, and the first UberSoldat, who's about a zillion times tougher than anything else u meet in the entire game.

Flood Infester in Halo! These little brain-like dudes. But altough they're easy to kill, they're annoying.

I agree with Taw, I was thinking exactly the same thing.
The RTCW undead legion were definately the most annoying. Especially the guys with the shields, that when hit, every bullet, no matter what the tragegtory, will, without exception, ricochet directly back to the player.

i was going to say, never use yer Venom gun on the Undead Legion, it does a better job of killing you! however it does happen to work brilliantly on Zombies (and Wehrmacht troops and Black Guards)

and those lovely SS Elite Guard dominatrix-girlies, I wish u didn't have to kill them, they are very pleasant to look at

steel, it's ace, man. good as MoH:AA, a bit more fun in some ways, because u get monsters, and mad scientists, Himmler, ghosts, and evil warlords (plus their minions) from a thousand years ago. the multiplayer kicks ass too. not as "real" as MoH cos of the fantastic element but the ai stands up ok, the graphics and rendering are beautiful and the cinematics and set-pieces just ooze quality. great game, can't recommend it highly enough. btw u'll love the SS girls! except big bad Helga von Bulow...

big tip: if u hear the enemy talking, just stay hidden and listen to them, it can be useful AND very funny too.

Half-Life's Ninja's were an absolute WHORE to kill, not that it was hard, all it needed was a shotgun to the face, the only problem being, they never stand still long enough. You end up missing every shot, meaning you run out of ammo

i was just about to mention HL. the Black Ops were abs murder, took me ages to get the knack of dealing with them esp. in Opfor. Now those were really good fights. I hated losing any of my men, well not Barneys, they're mostly disposable civilians, but me soldiers were unbearable to lose, I'd go and do the fighting myself just to keep them alive, and i always got them into crackin' good cover positions when i was setting up ambuscados (if u want to play mp soldier games, play with me; I will keep you alive if ur in my unit)

For different reasons i found the HL final bosses annoying, not because they were tough but because they were cr*p, i much preferred the battles to get to the bosses, rather than the fights with the bosses themselves. U go through that wonderful warehouse fight in Opfor agin Black Ops and tough alien beasties, to fight a giant cockroach with halitosis? or in HL u have to do all that silly jumping to fight a giant baby? giveover. Mind u it was even worse in ST:Elite Force, i was soooo looking forward to that game and it ended with fighting a load of, errrm, well, more cockroaches.

@Orillian - Yes, the little bouncing heads *fume* They really freaked me out at first! But, the most annoying I can think of are...

The carrier flood (Halo) - They do not die. Ever. Not that is, until they are close to you, at wich time they happily explode. You can force thier explosion sooner, but it'l cost you a bunch of ammo and/or a well placed greande MABY.

The final bosses in Kirby, nightmare in dreamland. They are simply annoying. It takes forever to kill them, you have to kill ALL of them without stopping (no chance to save) and if you die, ever, you get to do it all over again

Ok everyone, let'ss see some holiday spirit!

The Black souls in Diablo II: LoD 1.10. Those ghosty thingies. 2 or 3 hits and you're dead. There goes your experience and you money. Blegh!

Headcrabs and ninjas? Come on guys, what kind of FPS n00bies are you? I always dodge the crabs and those ninjas never see me coming.

Like wiz said, I have never played HL myself, nor am I planning to do that.
but in an FPS nothing is unbeatable, you just need a good comp reflex and nerves of hardwired silicon, that will get you to the end.

for most annoying monster I would nominate Big Eyedoll, from the game killer instinct, took me a lot of patience to get rid of that one
And yes I am talking about the SNES version.

Call me what you will but I never figured out a way to kill that ST Elite Forces ending sequence without being in god mode. That was annoying.
