Video Game Awards VDA

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

@ss why not do what the rest of the web does and call them emotes?

Post Tue Dec 09, 2003 6:34 am

@ff, I've never seen them called "emotes" other sites call them "emoticons" I personally think both are silly.

As for video game awards .... what don't they have awards for these days? I heard on the radio that certain streets in my area got awards for the contractors for their excellent use of concrete. Seriously the whole award system is devoid of meaning and only is maintained for the purpose of marketing.

I buy and watch what I like, rarely does an award manage to excite me to watch or try the winner of that award.

@sS why do you think they are silly? its a hell of a lot easier to say

Post Tue Dec 09, 2003 3:59 pm

@ff, they are easier to write, but to me they're silly. They sound the way a parent talks to a young child. So I go with a more dignified "emotive icons."
