Name abreviations and the eternal question
Ok, because we all (aka: most of us) are lazy typists, we abreviate each others names, or make "pet" names that are somehow more pleasant to type. Example:
Arcon = Arc or Archie
FF and ff
Wolf Demon = Wolf, Wolfie, perhaps others
I end usualy as Warlord, Bob, WB, WLB, or in one other forum "you with the stupid name"
One reason for this thread is so we can all share our abreviations, should they be amusing or for posterity, dunno wich.
Anyhoo, here is the eternal question, and one of the main reasons for this thread...
How do we abreviate Sir Spectre?
-Typing the whole thing is out, partialy because this thread is about lazyness
-Sir could be any of us
-Spec sounds too much like spick to me (thats an insult to some if you didn't kno)
-SS makes one think of Hitlers SS
-and for some wierd reason Spectre is unpleasant to type, although the best I've found so far
Why are some names annoying to type? I have no clue. None. But, for some reason, I am bothered by typing "Spectre" but not by for example "Nickless".
I apologize if this offends anybody, and if nobody else has my little quirk, than thank you for your time. But if you do than you know what I mean, and perhaps we can find a good soultion to our mutual quandry!
