What I do for Halloween

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

What I do for Halloween

I lock my door, hide in a bush in my front yard with my hose, and spray little kids as they come to "trick or treat".....Boy I hate halloween. I also hate you Americans for introducing it to us Aussies, when I was a kid we'd never even heard of it. Just like you introduced the American Idol thingy....Australian Idol......UGH!!

Post Sat Nov 01, 2003 4:25 am

hey it wasnt my idea
and... whats american idol?
and... why do u hate me?
just becasue im an american does not mean i support this stuff

and u can blame the stupid candy factories for halloween

i did nothing because my friends ditched me! read my thread

<edit> what r u? an old crank? hiding behind bushes and spraying kids. phht! why dont u move where u get shot if ur out after 8. for sure there wont be trick or treat

ha, well the pommies introduced "pop idol" to the yanks who called it "american idol" and sent it down as "australian idol".

i too hate the fundamental idea behind halloween, although i could see potential in the idea if it was just a "fancy dress" day or something where everyone had to dress up in some form of costume or another and everyone had parties, that wouldnt be so bad, its the dickheads who come round in search of money or treats, standing on your front porch with nothing to show its halloween, literally standing in a hoodie and jeans, with a bunch of lads looking so menacing that your likely to just hand over your wallet and keys to your car to stave off the beating your likely to get either way.

Halloween is a filthy, cruel and intimidating affair for anyone who is home and above the age of about 50 and it used to worry the hell out of me when i was a kid. i used to feel violated that these ****offs were getting stuff off my mum then terrorising the house for about a minute before moving on to the next sucker in the street.

Halloween is not something i have ever participated in, in regards to the "trick or treat" business, and i think only in america could the concept of a festival where if benefical gifts arent recieved, bad things will happen to you or your property. Even the idea of celebrating something where the undead, occult, serial killers and other literary or real nasties are glorified is, if you look at it, slightly disturbing. I can see only one future of Halloween, and thats the dressing up part, Halloween should be all about the costumes. Costume parties should be thrown, with or without treats and THATS IT, worying the **** out of old folks and families that dont quite know what the hell is going on is a big NO in my books, if the kids want candy, have a KIDS PARTY or something, but dont send them trawling the streets, leave that to whores and drunks.

amen!
i prefer parties too
even when i did "trick or treat" i never ate all my candy and eventually i put it in some kind of metal container with a lid on it
my room would smell like sh*t when i opened it and every time one of my friends come over he would chow down on the candy
eeewwww!!
its like 2 years old
but i cant blame him
his moms a dentist so he never has the itch and pleasure for candy

i have the least itch for candy in my family (maybe its why i have the best teeth too. not a single cavity)
i can imagine my brother with metal choppers when hes 20 yaers old
he allready has more than 5 cavities, his first trip to the dentist he had 3 cavities
i kinda feel sorry for him

my sister was just talking to my mom about her and her friend being burgualrs for halloween and saying trick or money

@Arcon
It's the same where I live. I went out for my jog last night, I saw one mum with two young daughters trick-or-treating, the rest were pikeys in their hoodies and Adidas gear lobbing eggs at everything and knocking on old peoples houses. One thing I don't think many Americans realise is that Halloween is very close to Guy Fawkes, so there's fireworks everywhere too. The pikeys round my way light them and then throw them at houses as the rocket ignites. Hell, a few weeks ago they used some stolen industrial fireworks to blow up a phone box! I had to check the shop I work at on my way home for damage (I hope I catch em some day, any excuse to settle some old scores), fortunately nothing this year, but lately since the new people moved in the shop next to us, lets just say that thepikeys hang around till much later and there's some funny smelling smoke wafting around the place, and there's been a marked increase in graffiti and damage to property
Geez, thats a long rambling rant, I sound like an old man and I'm only 18!

@Rec

I too disapprove blowing up stuff, Being that the taxpayer allways pays the lot

Here we have that same problem. but there is much more of that "funny smelling smoke" here.
Which I totally disapprove! I have no problem if someone does that but don't bother me (nor anyone else that doesn't want it).

I scoffed all the sweets and chocolate that my wife had got ready for the thrice-damned trick or treaters, saving the Dime bars for taunting the little scroungers with when i saw em off me property; once the Dime bars had gone I was forced to limit myself to purely verbal abuse, my personal favourite being the eloquent "s*d off u little b*st*rds, this is Wolstanton not bl**din' Wisconsin"

fortunately the rain put all but the most determined spongers off destroying our traditional culture, and with my house being at the end of our road, they must either retrace their steps or risk the 270 degree arc of insult-laden rant with which I can berate them should they choose to continue to promote this vile and leprous activity of "trick or treating" which should be punishable by a custodial sentence

no offence meant to our American friends, but we have to draw the line somewhere. what's next, we start celebrating Thanksgiving? and July 4th? at least my house and its surrounding few square yards will be one corner of Britain that will remain forever, er, British, y thats it.

now u see TONIGHT i took my boy to a local bonfire (Betley) where he got to watch a human effigy thrown onto a blazing inferno, saw large quantities of explosives unleashed into he atmosphere, got forced to attempt to procure an apple from a barrel of rather murky water using only his teeth, and threw up his overpriced candy floss after a misbegotten ride on a waltzer. a good British night out!

Post Sun Nov 02, 2003 1:06 am

ok i can see ur hate of thanksgiving and 4th of july

thanksgiving- i have nothing to give- certanly not thanks

4th of July- I just like blowing things up- GI-Joes, Barby Dolls

well i like bonfire night, i think its a propper good night, everyone has fireworks, most towns put on a real good show, theres a nice fire, the fayre comes to town, its a real father-son time of year...excelent for when i have a kid (i will drown her in a sack if its a girl btw). but yeah, halloween, ban it, make it LAW or something.

Now lets remember everyone, Haloween has deep religious significance but I don't know what it is or should I say was, or how that was turned into "give kids candy" day.

And than you have the cheap insincere sort of person who goes through the whole charade but gives out the sort of candy that sits in a metal container for years

And now, living near my Highschool, we have "drive by" trick or treaters. They come after 7:30 or 8 in cars and go to all the houses... even the ones without lights, derssed in thier normal clothing, wich is generaly strange enough to pass for a costume, and demand candy. Losers
