Daylight Savings Debacles

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Daylight Savings Debacles

Every year when the clocks get set back in the U.S. someone does something stupid because they forgot about DST. This morning I actually got up at 8 :O on a Sunday. Then I realized it was DST, and had to kick myself....ahhh I tired now lol. Anyway if you did something stupid like me or know someone who did post about it...

My sis did the same thing. She woke up at 5:00! Silly cell phone ringer....

I did good this time. Didn't mess anything up

All my comps and my cell are self correcting. I just have to change my alarm clock and tis all good

How are these debacles? They seem more like annoyances. A debacle would be "I have to give my wife, who is in a coma, an incillin shot every morning at 8:00. My clock turned back automatically and I forgot, it wasn't until what would be 9:00 that I realized she was dead."

That's a smegging debacle!

Luckily here in Arizona, we don't have daylight savings! (Because, who needs it? Hot as hell down here. Don't want more daylight...)

I didn't do it! My avatar did! I swear!

Okay, let me explain the nature of the planet in relation to the sun. We revolve around it on an axis and thus parts of the Earth are closer at times. Which means the length of days change over the course of a revolution around the sun (a solar year).

We humans have developed a system where we waver our measurment of time to assert our lives to a more congenial existence, which for most of us is in daylight. This does not mean there is actually more or less daylight, and because there is neither more nor less daylight the temperature is not affected by any time change on our part.

In conclusion you are an idiot.

I've ballsed up before with daylight savings, turned up an hour late for an exam and had 15 minutes to start and complete it. DOH!

I was at my friend's house and his parents left an hour early for a dinner party lol

@GE, again, how is that a debacle?

A debacle is a circumstance where the outcome has irrevokably gone to hell from that which you expected. Being an hour early is just aggravating. it isn't the end all of a situation turned bad.

Mustang's post was a good example of a debacle.

BTW Godlike Entity, your sig pic doesn't show up for me. I think you can see your pic, but no one else can. That's a mild debacle as sigs go. Do you use a site you have to log in to?

Odd really, thats the first time its worked in my favour for 28 years!!

My Brother woke up on Saturday the day before we changed the Clocks to GMT and thought that we had forgot to change the clocks and so he thought I was either a Hour Late or a Hour Early for work

This has nothing to do with the topic, but. The other day I brother was looking for his Glasses and he had them on, I couldn't stop Laughing
