crap!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

crap!

my parents r going to an I Safe confrence tonight
its about the dangers of the internet and stuff like that
knowing how paranoid my parents r i might as well be making a goodbye thread

right when the get home they will say "get off!! you're never going on the internet again!!!

*sigh* time to start rerouting the internet to my room and get internet off of pirate signals with a home-made antenna

there are three ways we can describe the Starlancer forums if TLR was a town.....
they are either the ghettos, the old folk homes, or the graveyard

Now thats just mean!.... has a bit of truth tho

Show your parents what goes on here. How we share our little triumphs (Taw's gun, SubXero's car, my flight) and the computer illiteracy thread (reanimation etc. you know what I mean) When they see all the wonderful goings on here how could they deny you

Good luck, and failing that, nice knowin ya

Bad boy!
Don't worry, my friend copies games all the time.

Post Fri Oct 24, 2003 11:04 am

no need to worry. the entire country trades only copied games all the time. original games are a rarity, not tat anyone wants to buy them hwne you can get them 10tiems cheaper.

@Wolf: I got an idea: try to locate some info on the usefulness of the I-net (better from a credited source) and leave a printed copy somewhere your parents could find it. Might work, might not - anyway, you have nothing to lose
Besides, you could offer your parents to teach them to use the net (I presume they don't, since you said they're paranoid in that respect) after locating the sites containig sth interesting related with their hobbies. Alternatively, prnti it out and give the copies to them - thus you'll also have your "credit" go up. Again, might work.
Anyway, good luck!

Just remember...if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

If they do try to cut your internet, here's what you do (prepare to spend money):

1. Purchase a wireless PCI ethernet card (b/g prefereed).
2. Purchase an AP (b/g), router, cabling (CAT5E or CAT6)
3. Get a job.
4. Offer to buy broadband for your neighbours, or people across the street. This is better if you lvie in an apartment.
5. Install networking equipment into person with broadband. (ie. plug their comp into router, plug AP into router, etc.
6. Install WiFi card into your comp.
7. Voila. Broadband. Wireless.

8. Buy antennas if signal is weak.
