well if you think that now its rare for there to be a good game solely on the ps2 anymore. PLUS its on the way out, PLUS it has scant all network play, PLUS it only has 2 controllers (without multi tap), PLUS you have to buy memory cards.
X Boy can just handle more these days, although i'm thinking of going to get a gamecube because pretty much everything of value comes out for PC, but better. GameCube is the console with the exclusives because nintendo make good games. I'm personally really looking forward to Twin Snakes on GC next year

good point Arch, Pokemon Colossus? (is that what its called?) will of course be GC exclusive and it will the highlight of 2004 for my 9yr old.

I've decided.. XBox it is. then at least I can get some joy from Dead or Alive: Beach Volleyball.

I own a PS2, and I can say if it is true GTA series is coming out on X-Box, get that instead. I like very few games on the PS2 and a lot of them look really cool on the X-Box.

Unfortunately, I'm getting to that point in my life when I don't really care about console systems anymore. So I will probably never get the X-Box or PSX or anything that comes afterword.

I look forward only to two games, both from LucasArts on the PC: Sam & Max Freelance Police and Armed & Dangerous. Maybe I'll pick up Kinghts of the Old Republic when it comes out for PC.

I remember when the XBox was due out, Microsoft reckoned that it would take them years to get any significant market share in face of Sony's dominance of the consoles, and that it would be 10 yrs before XBox actually turned nett profit. Things seem to have turned out better for MS than they predicted!

Anyone know what the actual market penetration of XBox is, and what MS P&L sheet on it is like?

I rented Dead or alive "by accident" (no really. the box said mech warrior sumpn) The intro is cool, but even with the cgi babes it really stinks. Get it on sale

I just discovered a great new game for Xbox (new to me that is)... Bloodwake!

Imagine streets of sim city on water. For those of you who never played streets of sim city, in Bloodwake you have a boat... with machine guns, chain guns, EMP, autocannons, torpedos, rockets, and/or a couple of monster cannon things. So do the other people . Gameplay ensues...
