my problem is whether to get XBox or PS2, then worry about which game.

at the moment my kids have a PC(each) Gamecube, PS1, N64, SNES, 2 different tv consoles, GBA, GB Colour, so u might think they've got enough, but the Gamecube isn't really up to scratch for games as the XBox and PS2 are, and the other consoles are so cheap now.

this is how i see it;

XBox, better quality console, sturdier, more capable, better graphics, better DVD, controllers we can all use. not that many games or accessories though. a bit more expensive

PS2, a LOT more games and more accessories. tiny controllers, mediocre DVD. cheaper.

what does everyone else reckon?

Don't listen to RILMS, he doesn't know what he's talking about . Shure PS2 has more games... right now. In a few months to a year the # of gamer for XboX are projected to double . Hooray for XboX! And Halo(!), the best game ever made! But, you have that already, so...

Burnout is good, but Apex is better IMO - Those both racing games
Blinx is good if you like that sort of thing

I want to know if Hydro thunder or sumpn like it is on XboX

Also... anybody know a good flight sim (ooh, or FL type space sim) for XboX?

BMX XXX is kinda like GTA, but on a bike! I played it with my lesbian friend.

GTA is on a bike if you want...or a car, helicopter, tank, truck or seaplane. The big difference is Vice City has no naked people! Unless you count the guy on the radio chat show. This is very off topic...

Back on topic however...
I was considering buying an xbox, mainly to play Halo, but then...by the time I had accumulated a decent amount of spare money Halo was announced for PC which Ive already got. So therefore no Xbox for me and more spare money instead.

Vice City does have nude people, remember Candy Suxx (she did have stars in place of ......but still )

Aslo remember the oicture reflectors put on that toll boilding....thats nudity too, isn it.

Even though I dont have it I think that Xbox is much better. Halo, Halo 2 are just the only reason I would get Xbox in first place. In videogames I always go for better graphics, thats the thing that makes the game fun...so in my opinion Xbox is #1

well i have an Xbox a great console btw
but getting either one will not be so smart now
they allready came out with PSX in Japan as I heard
and they will be coming out with another Xbox in another year or so
but now that GTA III and Vice City are coming out on Xbox who needs a PS2 anymore?

I like my PS2 better. We get the FF series. (no, not Fear Factor or freighter fighter.) And for the X-BOX, I reccomend Halo & Halo 2.

I've been leaning towards XBox myself, and pretty much talked the kids into it, but they''re still werretting about there being more games on PS2. Like, kids, how many of them are you actually GOING to play? (presuming u put ur hands in ur pockets and buy them urselves, which is unlikey!)
