Well gee. Is it really that bad? I know its corny but I kind of like it. Anyway, I'm used to it now.

I'll think about changing it though.

Note 6: If you can be as brutally honest with me as that, you ought to be as honest as that to yourself to move yourself forward on the female front.

Kimk:

Why does your lesson have anything to do with trying to meet up with her? If you really want this to happen, just go at the usual time anyway. At worst, you have to kill some time before your delayed lesson starts. So what?

Of course trying to get everything just perfect to take the next step is important BUT it also makes what you are trying to accomplish almost impossible. Your letting the planning phase choke off the opportunities.

Basically, you can end up setting yourself up for failure. All the planning, the rehearsing you are doing just puts more pressure on you and reinforcing your conviction that you are not being able to do this sort of thing in the first place.

The "magic of the moment" so speak has got nothing to do with the perfect line, the perfect appearance, etc. The magic is in letting something happen ... not, instead, making something happen according to plan. And to let something happen you have to be there. So concentrate on getting yourself to the place you need to be to run into her. Not, guitar lesson = opportunity + perfect line = hook up with girl. That is not a good plan.

It should be more: Get to place + wait for opportunity + say hello. = ???

You cannot plan and script all aspects of an encounter with a girl you want to meet. If you do, you'll definitely come off seeming like a **** ... unless you are a brilliant actor with a working crystal ball.

as for the encounter you're talking about, thats goin a bit too far. i only want small talk and maybe her name/e-mail add. mind, not phone number. thats too quick. and the lesons have something to do iwth it cuz i cna't be seen sittin there from 11am to 5pm. thats just insane.

- Ummmmm. Not quite following you and admitting no knowledge of your specific social rules. Also not understanding why it is going too far to ask for a phone number if you want to meet the girl.

Because, there are no guaranties en encounters. The point is to see what happens when you say hello and try to strike up a conversation. If it works, it works. If it doesn't it doesn't .... you move on to the next opportunity.

Meeting girls and seeing what happens is not some kind of scalable program because each girl is different. You cannot program ahead to take all variables into account.
