ALERT!!!

most of you might know now that i take guitar lessons.. today i was going home in the van (music school van) usually i'm alone but for the firs time this girl got in.. must be around my age.. maybe a year younger since she seemed to be studying for exams.. (its comin up for yr9's in this country) anyways.. didn't talk to her.. flipped thru my guitar book (fundamentals.. if it was titled 'super advanced' maybe it could impress her..) anyways. when i got off she was lookin at me with a look i dono what. thats all the feedback i got from her. i don't necessarily want a relationship.. just anyone got ideas how to get her number and/or e-mail add? i need some out-of-school friends around here.

the deadline is most probably no later than the end of htis month. my music schedule is bein pushed to 12pm from 11am. then she won't be on the same ride most likely. if it was a one time ride, then drop it. hopefully she's new and will be on the same 11:30ride home.

p.s. i realise its another girl talk similar to ff's but its a different situation.

any help is greatly appreciated. any flames will be deflected by my ultra shiny flame mirror.

This is just COMPLETELY out of nowhere, but maybe you could start a conversation about music.

i have a confession to make;
today the guitar teacher showered me with music theory terms.. i did'nt get a single word he was saying.. how E7 was the dominant chord and crap. nop.. music not on my side any other suggestions ? (thx spectre btw)

I wasn't talking music theory. I was talking music you like to listen to. Or artists you admire. Do I have to spell it out?! Geez!

ya, just talk to her. It's not like she's an alien. She's just like a person. I try and think of my female friends as guys, but with diffrent parts.

Ask her what instrument she plays. That'd be a nice opening line and build the conversation from their.

and if she snubs you ask her if she'd like to blow your tuba, that'll get her attention real quick.

have to go with these guys ^^ its the simplest but best advice. Maybe you might need to get a bit of encouragement from your old friend Jack Danniels but just go up and say "y'allright? i'm <me>" she's gonna have to either give you her name or just be wierd and walk away.

as for getting her phone number or something:
Well get talking for a while at the end of school (or wherever you are) then when that conversation ends, just ask her if she wants to go somewhere. Take her to a park, or bar, or something ak up the conversation. If you can, play some guitar for her and ask her if its any good. But remember, it HAS to be good, so play your tunes your most proud of and can do well.

like with ff, the best advice is to be brave and be yourself but remember the objective, eye of the tiger!

i had considered that arcon.. the point bein parks/bars/anything else you mentioned are non-existant here in m'sia or like at least 50miles out.

the real problem is to get a friendship going in 2 chance meetings of no more than 10mins on each.

anyone pull off a miracle here?

EDIT: i totally friggin suck at playing guitar.. how do you expect me to pull of bettoven's symphony or pachabel's canon in Dmajor just after 6 lessons?

also, i dono what friggin langugae she'll be talkin in. in a multilingual country for all you know she might shower hardcore geek lingo at me. but in this city cantonese are popular among chinese and i don't speak a word of it. hoepfully she'll talk english.........

i met my wife in the supermarket in a chance meeting over the green veg, lasted about 4 minutes. being a short-ass she couldn't reach the stuff at the back onthe top shelf so i volunteered to get it for her, had a laff about it. saw her there the next week and so we continued for a couple of weeks until i asked her out. u see it doesn't take long esp. if u hit it off with someone. 14 yrs later I'm still reaching stuff off the bloody top shelves for her...

kimk, looks like you got a crush on her
anyway, there's sth I don't get. iF you know how to meet her, what's the prob? if not - well, I can't help ya. If you do know how to get in touch with her, then summon up your male bravery and courtesy and find out whether she's available. geez, never thought I'd have to explain such simple things to a matured guy
