holy cow, YES definately see equilibrium. its out on DVD next month. if your into dystopian futures ala George Orwell's 1984 or whatshisname's Brave New World, you'll love this. it got slated at the time for having really good gun battles and trying to be like the matrix but its not like it at all. Basically its about a future world where emotions are illegal because they are the root of all evil, so people are given drugs by the state to supress emotions. there are special police units called 'Clerics' who are responsible for bringing these bad people who feel to justice. If youve ever read anything like 1984, Brave New World, Farrenheit 451 etc. you'll be all to familiar with the concept.
The best part (if you love your action films) is the revolutionary new gun fighting/kung fu hybrid called 'Gun Kata' it really is a wonder to watch And you cant help smiling your ass off when its happening. a QUALITY film that your mates WONT have watched and fast becoming a geek classic.
