so: You've been in a western country long enough that:
a. You've forgotten the langauge your parents speak.
b. Your english ain't good enough, judging by your writing.
c. Comm difficulties with your parents is inevitable, which may lead to
i. estrangement
ii. separation
OR
iii. you realizing WTF is up and learning the language your parents speak.

hmm...
anonymous guys? are you gay? if so, why do you mention girls?
(the above has no ill will/intentions. just wondering.)

RE: Army of One
Terrible slogan. Armies do NOT work as one. individuality is dead in an army. The purpose of the army is to amass a large group of people to attain a goal.
SpecFors are different. Individuality is more important, as each individual has a specific job, and if they can't do it, the team fails. Armies: if one guy runs away, nobody really cares.

yeah but you dont tell recruits that their individuality and spirit of self is going to be stripped away so you think collectively as a team at all times, so you tell them "army of one"

I think what they are trying to convey is that the army acts as a single entity to achieve a goal. Still, it's a crap slogan either way.

Kimk, I would suggest reading a 200 page book called "Tuesdays With Morrie". I had a lot of issues andproblems before I read this book. After I finished it, it was like a whole new world was waiting for me. Go buy is or get it at the library and read it. Its well worth it.

i'm not quite sure about what you mean by "advanced communication " kimk but my advice to you would be to try and understand more about your own language and then you might be able to relay your feelings to your parents in a way that they would understand

tuesdays with morrie? ok. 200pgs? i can do that. i did 766 with HP so i should be able to do that.. oh and everyone, stop tinking like i'm some kinda insane guy with no means of communication to the outer world.. i'm multi-lingual, just that i'm not fluent in most languages i know ( i need to be more fluent than i am to relay what i'm trying to say to my parents ) but i think the steam's off now.

Yep Tuesdays With Morrie was a great book about the meaning of life. Great read, and its a true story too.

What exactly is going wrong? Like, you said something about problems w/ "anonomous guys"... like... OK, I don't mean anything by it, but is this a love-life issue? A bully issue? Maybe just a plain isolation issue... feel lost? What sucks? Can you give an example?

You Parents Speak fluently on what language?

argh i'm never gonna get paid, Goodbye a million credits

Ok so you speak perfect english and your parents speak basic or "pigeon" english. They speak mandarin and korean fluently but you are now basic in those.

It seems simple to me. Teach yourself Korean or mandarin or both (best to start with one) and then when you are confident with that, teach your parents english in whichever language you have relearned.

A lot of work but if you want to have a really good relationship with your parents it is the only way.
