I haven't used game voice, but I use TeamSpeak and Ventrilo.

GameVoice is cool because you can basically say "dock" and the game will think you pressed F3. Or "fire torpedo". It has really good recognition.

No, it is hardware. Its a USB device that has buttons on it.

Yah yah I know its from Microsoft, but the Sidewinder series, I think, Is good... Not to mention the games.

yes i use it. its good, except i got bored with the voice commands thing as my brother would keep yelling from his room "you talking to me?" all the time, so i dont bother anymore. especially since most of my gaming needs ive binded keys around wsad to do pretty much everything, althouth i keep meaning to set it up properly again

Ya I hate using any kind of voice recognition. I always get bizarre looks when I start talking to my PC, so im holding out for neuro recognition.
