Science Fiction Books

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I'm more into clasic stuff, like A.C. Clarke and Asimov and alla that jazz.

I'm currently re-reading Runciman's "History of the Crusades". I've recently finished "Lord of the Rings". For a few years I was really stuck on Heinlein, especially "Starship Troopers". I also enjoy reading Ann Coulter and George Orwell.

I've read Niven's Ringworld, but that's a long time ago.
I don't read to much today, but I liked the books by Michael Chrighton, Andromeda and the Jurrasic park series.

Today I'm more of a sf-film fan. Saw the complete Starwars saga about a month ago (Dutch TV) and after seeing them about 10 times, they're still great.

I've only read Ender's Game in the Ender series, but I liked it. The strategy of the games and then the "simulations" was fascinating to read. I read a lot of science fiction. I've nearly read every star wars book known to man. Read Lord of the Ring, who didn't when the movie came out? Read Drizzt series (Homeland, Sourjourn...) in the Forbidden Realm books.

Orson Scott Card writes awesome books! But by far my favorite sci-fi series is Dune.

Post Mon Aug 04, 2003 5:40 pm

havent tried that author yet ill have to look into it
still working my way through the anne mcaffrey books, now they are good
tower and the hive series etc

Yeah, Orson Scott Card has to be at the top of my list too. Ender's Game was good enough I read it twice in 48 hours when I first picked it up.

I really like the homecoming series and Prentice Alvin stuff too.
