you pay for the game AND a subscription? BAH!!!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

true, i have no problem with game prices...i'm jsut saying that game companies arent putting high prices because of piracy, its so fatcats can have a bigger car/house/boat

when i make games i'm gonna try and get them sold at dirt cheap prices

hhmmm, I just realised, there are always budget games on the shelves, but I normaly ignor them 'cos I automaticaly assume they are budget because they are bad.

9 times out of 10 you'd be right. Cheap games have a cheap production cycle. Which in other words means the game was either rushed out the door half finished, or had such a flimsy design in the first place it didn't take to long to complete.
I believe the main consumers of such games are corporate tools who want to have some fun with the company laptop or the guy who's just bought his very first PC from the local department store.

not all budget games are bad. thief 2, baldurs gate 1/2, planetscape torment, giants, theres quite a few good ones, and being unemployed its easier to get them on budget

Whoops I did forget about the old games that are in the bargain bins, you can find some real gems in there. They are actually great to buy if you have missed a couple of groundbreakers, I picked up Deus Ex and Half Life from bargain bins.

Is it just me or Arcon is starting to sound like Zeratural with his anti-capitallism and warez talk?

I'll count the money, design the game, and make starfields + 2D planets for backgrounds in the game.
