the words "fitness" to the left of the door and "fitness" in the window on the far left show absolutely no signs of photoshopping. I''m inclined to think it was previously a different store, or the owner has a good sense of humour.

Hehehe...

Maybe there was only one sign (the one to the left) that says fitness, and they just planted it everywhere... (Maybe the building has a recreational, rehab, and fitness department, for example)

You mean they photoshopped the escalators? No way! Noone is THAT good. Not even the guys from Adobe... Just look at those reflections/shadows/highlites... If it really is a fake, it took about 120 hours to finish...

lol.. 'choose'... the right esaclator moves down? maybe the ones going up are supposed to take the one going down.. and the ones going down taking hte up escalator.. and the stairs migth be for the crippled..

It's not too weird, actually. The Dutch have similar contraptions to help their flatland-spoiled people to actually get to a higher level 2 meters upward on their shopping malls.
