POLL: Which Star Trek do you prefer?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

POLL: Which Star Trek do you prefer?

1. Original Sieries
2. The Next Generation
3. Deep Space Nine
4. Voyager
5. Enterprise
6. Don't give a rat's @$$

Personally I like Voyager because it is a nicer ship, not to mention Jeri Ryan

as my sig suggests TNG

"Make it so Number One"
Captain Picard 'Star Trek the Next Generation'

I agree, DS9's the best, with voyager a distant second

Post Sun Jul 06, 2003 9:58 pm

DS9, followed by TNG (which was good when not cheesy), and then all the other series in no particular order.

Can't decide between DS9 and Voyager. Haven't seen Enterprise, but TOS must be in the bottom for me.

Oh GAWD! How can u like DS9? Its total crapolla!

TNG > Voyager > Enterprise > Original > DS9

Post Mon Jul 07, 2003 12:25 am

TNG/TOS>ENT>VOY>(lot's of blanks)>(more blanks)>(still blanks)>(no more blanks left, so how about some underscores?)>DS9

just why ENT is above VOY: ENT has more likable, human characters. VOY was like everyone had a stick up his/her youknowwhat

what the hell is wrong with DS9, nothing thats what. have you ever seen another series that deals with much more poignient ethecal problems, like genocide, prostitution, opression, mental breakdown, abandonment, disability, genetic experimentation, secret police, racism, terrorism. some series covers the odd one or two, ds9 did them all, and the obligitary touch-feely star trek episodes too.

in ds9 you had real emotion, real feelings, where the goodies didnt always win, where breaking the rules happened ALOT, where you got to see how the other side lived. The variety of episodes ds9 had was remarkable, they had the dominion war, prophets, section 31, mirror universe, time travel, planetary politics etc. there was something new every week, and the last 3 series were the icing on the cake for me. the series evolved from star trek altogether, branched off from the norm and made its own rules with massive series arcs and re-ocurring characters that gave each story the continuity to link them together. the story of 'terok nor' was ongoing in ds9 not split up into bitesize 15 minute chunks, everything effected the story. and of course, a series closer you can only dream of, i mean having the captain become a god, where time and space no longer had any meaning for him...thats pretty far out.

I have never watched Star Trek and never want to.

Then why did you post in a thread about it?

Post Mon Jul 07, 2003 7:02 am

I liked all of them

TOS was fun because it gave hope to the people of the time.
TNG was the ground work for all the new STs.
DS9 was very kool with the war and the social structier
VOY was very diffrent with being on the other side of the Galaxcy
and ENT is fun to watch because it's leading up to things in TOS

Life: No one gets out alive.

Babylon 5 did. and did it better.

I find it quite interesting: the people who like DS9 don't like the rest of trek, and the people who like the rest, don't like DS9.. makes you wonder if DS9 should be called "star trek" or not...
