I know I left it somewhere.
I'm looking for a research project that was done under american teenagers and there first sexual intercourse. it came out that american teens had there first sexual intersourse at the age of 12-13 AVEREGE (that's US only)I don't think 12 year old can make that big of a decicion wheter they should or should not do abortion.

@ locutus, why shouldnt it count for homosexuals?

Post Thu Jul 03, 2003 12:25 pm

@zero: Thats exactly my point -- If you're not ready to deal with the consequences, don't do it yet!

nice argument going. personally, homosexuals can't get pregnant right? i think thats a good thing. (just thought i'd voice this)

then, this is my 2 cents;
i'm probably totally wrong in every aspect here, but when a woman/girl/lady has a baby, and then, the father is missing.. comes back, and sees the kid (still newborn) and the lady/girl/woman presents it to him saying 'its urs' where i get this is from stories which are most likely unreliable, but i thought i'd seek confirmation to the truth of this. if the baby ends up being the father's kid, does that not mean that the father also logically should have a say in the birth of the baby?

@ freighter fighter,

because <a> homosexuals cannot get pregnant and if they want a child they have
2 choices, adoption (in my eyes a good plan) or choice 2, choose a birthmother
which in my eyes isn't a good plan, because you cannot anticipate psychological factors in to the bargain. you can convince her to be the bearer of your child but if the child is born, the factor of her wanting to keep the child can't be computed

and in the world of homosexuality, there is a lot less about sensuality, and a lot more about the sex itself. But then again that's my expereince

*note* I'm talking about the male variant here

You have to be true to yourself mate.

If you love her do the right thing. In this day and age you you can live with someone like you are married without legally marrying her.

If you are attracted to other women more than you are to her then don't do it.

You can maintain a good relationship with the woman and your kid without haviing to marry. If your kid is educated well enough he/she will understand.

@lotucus you think that people are gay for the sex and not for the affection or "love" for eachother?gay people are the same as hetro's.just as you like to sit on the couch watching a movie with your girlfriend and eating popcorn, homosexuals are no different.

i'm getting a bit annoyed with peoples reponses of "this would never happen to me, i'm brill/i treat women with respect/i wear a jonnie/i shoot blanks..." or whatever so i would like permission to public insult the next people that do...thank you

also, if i may make a point. people have sex for MANY different reasons, and you cant expect only the responsible adults of the world to have sex. Alot of people dont have nearly the apropriate sex education that they should have before emarking on a trip into adulthood and alot of people get taught it at an early age that when the time comes around, theyve forgotten pretty much all of it. I know i have, basically at that young age your more intrested in the tits to care about listening to the teacher harp on about STDs and birth control, your just gawping at the picture of a naked woman in the textbook. Sex education should be tought in the gym, during one sports lesson, you always listen to your coach cause if you dont its YOUR ASS PUNK! but then again i think sex education should involve a bevy of prostitutes so waht do i know.

back to my earlier point. Yeah, people have sex for fun, much like dolphins, and dont expect in a million years to get pregnant. this happens all the time, turn on your favorite sitcom and chances are that at least one plot involves a bed hopping twentysomething, so excuse me if theres a couple who havent discussed what theyre gonna do when the unthinkable happens. sex, in alot of cases is spontanious, and sitting your partner down and running through all eventualities BEFORE the act kinda takes the magic out of it i would think. pre-sex discussions are kinda laughable to be fair for all but 5% of cases.

I'd like to say ALSO that avoiding abortion because you dont want to stop a potential life from coming into existence..i got news for you here, whats the difference between abortion and wearing a condom or taking the pill? NOTHING theyre both doing EXACTLY the same thing just at different times, there is life in a sperm but guys dont have a problem with the genocide of millions of sperm daily into a tissue so dont get worked up when someone suggests killing a fere fraction of that. Sure its a life but you didnt give a **** about it 2 weeks ago, i got news for you again, its STILL NOT A BABY, when it starts kicking the **** outa your womb THEN its a baby, at the moment its still mostly multiplying cells

Zero, you don't get it. Locutus IS homosexual.

Post Thu Jul 03, 2003 11:09 pm

@ FF

Thank you for clearing that out.

@_zero

of course homosexual people can sit on a couch and enjoy eachothers affection
what I meant to say was there is LESS about sensuality and MORE about sex itself
now... I don't want to start an argument about homosexuality being right or not
I just want to state my point

sex ed at school?
I think sex ed schould come from the parents cous the kids look up to the parents and are therefore the best teachers.
I got sex ed at age 4.you know why?cous I asked for it.

Post Thu Jul 03, 2003 11:58 pm

@zero

I agree. your parents are by far the most suitable candidates to tell you about sex
because of their experience on the matter

Post Fri Jul 04, 2003 12:44 am

If I had only got sex ed from my parents, I'd be practicing the rythme method right now, and there's a reason why I have 6 siblings. Thank God for porn.

FreighterFighter, I'm not sure what you meant by that "Second page, second argument" bit. I had a look, but nothing was clearly the second argument. do you care to elaborate?

If a sperm bank father has no responsablity to the woman and child, then we know that the biological father of any child is not obligated merely because of shared genes, right? Would it be fair to say obligation, if any, comes through a physical/personal relatioship with the mother? And if that's the case, is any obligation owed to the child, or is it only the mother that would hold the father's obligation?
