Freelancer for the old salt in you

Thought you guys maybe interested in Pirates of the Carribean.

It's really the sequel to Sea Dogs, renamed to tie in with what will no doubt be a crap movie. But the game looks pretty swish with similar gameplay to freelancer but with more of an RPG element and a bit of swordfighting to boot.

i h8 all rpgs and storyline/first person shoot games.. partly cuz i suck at them, partly cuz they make me dizzy. so this ain't for me.

@ maswastage; could u put the eagle back on? it looks nicer than the flag (tho i'm guessing its ur country's)

hmm, Heh, I would think some more people have heard of it, I really like this game, I played Sea Dogs, and Bethesda, unfortunately canceled it, well, kinda canceled it until disney came along, changed the name and characters around a bit but gave them plenty of funding to finish it up, Sea Dogs was an awesome game, very well thought out, In fact I already have POTC Pre-Ordered, Im not as excited about the movie as I am the game, but both look kinda nice. Been so long since a good pirate movie or game has been out.

Yeah, maybe the swordfights will be alla Guybrush Tripwood (sp?) (Curse of/Escape from the Monkey Island)...

BTW, I played the Sea Dogs, But I got tired of it when the French came in (it was so simple when there were only England and Spain). I had the Frigate at the time, but the damn French sailed Cannon Galleons... (32 cannons port/starboard, 9 cannons rear). It's like trying to kill the Eagle with the Patriot

Careful what you wish... You might just get it.
