Guess who''s alive and kicking?
Once upon a time there was a website dedicated to a game called "starlancer" and within the bounds of that site there was a message board a "forum", if you like, where the geeks who played the said game (for geeks they were, quite proud of it aswell) could chat, kill time and mostly just pull another persons hair whilst being on the safe side of a internet uplink.
On the blurred horizon of these geeks perception another game was being formed. the game was called "Freelancer" and rumours about this piece of magical software were heard from the residance of the known wise (old) man Boscoe to the chambers of the notorious villain Electricbrain (who was in hiding, fearing the wrath of the noble sir Spear AKA me).
"Will there be joystick-functions?"
"Can you destroy planets?"
"Can you open a pub?"
"Will you be able to pick up girls?"
"Is Bargib a real person or have you lot just made him up?"
After a few scuffles, some marriges, childbirths, sadly deaths (Pheonix, we still remember you), additions to the family and a small venture into some strange form of RPG the game finally arrived just in time for a sad, sad loss. The mighty and greatly loved sir Spear (again, me) was to leave.......
The months passed on, the site plummetted down into chaos (WIZARD'S A MOD FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!) and all seemed bleak. At that very moment the forces of pure wickedness (that's me) were involved in rebuilding their power. With his mouse in one hand and his magical keyboard in the other our hero (once again, me) fought his (my) way across the Sirius system in the name of all that is true, nice and pleasant (not to mention slightly perverted into some kind of liveactionroleplaying-swordworshipping-zionistic-scoutesque mix). After far to long he has returned to the place he called "the place where you can bash out at some poor tommie without him getting to poke you with a sharp pointy thing".
And as you can see, I (me) can still draw breath. EB, the next time you try to have me assasinated I'm going to take it personal.
