Curiosity: when does one stop being a newbie here?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Curiosity: when does one stop being a newbie here?

Not that it makes any difference, but i'm just curious.

You first have to ask yourself the question: When is one a newbie? For the first few times your here (obvious). But when do you loose the newbie title? I don't know, maybe when you recognize the name or something.

You might be right. Still, I think that in some ways I'm a n00b here, since:
a) I don't have FL yet (since I have to get a new PC first) and, consequently, I don't have much to say in FL forums;
b) I joined TLR as a SL fan, and nowadays there's not much going on in SL forums (maybe apart from some strayed posts and some new guys who discovered that SL actually rulez), so I mainly stay in OT and talk about things not related to the game.
On the other hand, i don't feel like one anymore, since I've talked to a lot of you during my stay here, and I'm even starting to recognise the style before seeing the poster's name.
BTW, what's the next title to newbie? I think it's sth to work out beside the rankings - a guy may post a hundred times per day and outrank a grey-haired () veteran.

I don't recognize you but then again I still feel like a n00b here too, unless anyone can disuade me of my feelings I'm probably gonig to feel like that for a year more, which is not entirly a bad thing...keeps me on my toes. Ok I might as well ask it: WHO THINKS I'M STILL A NEWB? 8)
My Vote: Yes I am still a n00b

When I say so. I'll say so when a 20$ deposit is made into my Paypal account.

I consider myself to be "almost green"
Explanation: I use the system Newbie --> Green --> Regular --> Veteran --> Legend
Maybe it isn't as precise as the current ranking system, but it's alinged with time, not the number of posts, so it's better for orientation.
@Tach: I don't like Pay Pal, do you take Visa?

I'd say newb status is unattained when: You make the rank of Major or your here for 6 months. Veterans of the forums e.g. (Tach, Wiz, EB, myself, Eraser, Top Gun, Z, FF MS/Mustang/Spear/Arcon - If they ever come back and a few others I've missed) post in your threads on a number of occasions. Or your invited to join TLR elite society (TFBC - The funny bastards club)

or $50 is paid into MY pay pal account

I'm low on cash reserves right now so I'll go for the elite society method.

There are many different shades of n00bness:

1. You have the cocky n00b, who thinks everything he says is really smart, funny or important, generally one of the most hated of n00bs.
2. The lurker n00b, he really wants to think he is not a n00b but we all know that he really is.
3. The revolutionary n00b, he comes here specifically to stir trouble and then dissapears again after he finally realises that everyone hates his guts.
4. The shy n00b, he generally never causes a ruckus and occasionaly pokes his head to make a poinient remark but apart from that is never truly recognised by the group at large.
5. The loud n00b, HE LIKES TALKING IN CAPS AND IGNORES ALL REQUESTS TO STOP THEN FEIGNS IGNORANCE WHEN HE IS BANNED FOR IT.
6. The scientific n00b, this one has a scientific explination for everything and will go to great lengths to prove his point through an incredibly lengthy post that almost no-one ever reads.
7. The comedy n00b, almost everyones favourite n00b, he has a smart ass comment or quip to add to even the most serious of discussions.
8. The annoying n00b, this one always asks stupid questions, whines to the administrator, posts new topics that have next to no point and always asks why no-one likes him.

and as for when you stop being a n00b, when I bloody well say so that's when!!!

I don't really run this place but I have an understanding with the people who do.

maybe you should kill all the newbies

I went to the university
I met my seniors of 2 years than me
4 years later I graduated
my seniors gradute 1 year after me..

is it relevant being a newbie?

Juni : Did I ever tell you that people are change by circumstancecs?
Trent : uhh[!..No?..
Juni : Well I did. Babble..babble..bla..bla..bla..
Trent : (Ok...ok.. do I get to sleep with you or not?)

Science is knowledge.
Knowledge is power.
Time is money.
power = work/time
therefore, knowledge= work/money
therefore, money = work/knowledge
therefore, money is inversely proportional to knowledge.

therefore,

The more knowledge you have, the less money you have.

Prepare for the worst, for you have read the worst.

Because I fit the description of all but classes 3 & 4 (see Mustang's post), that makes me what...?
I Am A Cocky Revolutionary Scientific Annoying Almost Green Comedy Lurker Noob...
Now, if you take the caps from the previous statement, and rearange them, you get GRASCACALAIN, which.... OK, I'll stop now.
