Reviews on "Enter The Matrix (PC)" Wanted

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Reviews on "Enter The Matrix (PC)" Wanted

How is the game? I'm thinking about buying it, but I've read some pretty mixed reviews.

Oh, for those of you who don't know what Enter The Matrix is...

Here is the general impression that I've got since it came out:

Graphics: Good in some areas, bad in others. The car with square wheels, for example.

Gameplay: Fun and fast, if not complex or deep.

Story: I've heard nothing on this, actually.

Read with one big grain of salt

Ok, I have the game, bought it the day after I saw the Matrix: Reloaded.

Graphics: Very good during the in-game scenes where you control the character, but some of the cinematics rendered with the game engine looks off, almost as if they were out of focus. Mixed in with the game are sections of video clips, some from the movie, some from the game. These look great and really add to the story and the feel of the game.

Gameplay: Very very fun, lots of cool moves and stunts to do, a few annoying spots, such as trying to snipe SWAT units who are shooting your allies. No really good puzzles to solve, but then it isn't really that type of game.

Story: If you liked the movie, then the game will do a lot for you, it fills in a lot of background, and gives information on several side-stories/plots that may be explored more in the third movie.

The only bad thing I found about this game is that it was waaaay too short, it only took me 4 days to beat it with one of the characters. However, the hacking section adds to the game and seems like it will increase it's longevity quite a bit.

Overall, I would definitely recommend getting the game, it was the best one I've gotten lately.

Sorry for writing a novel here, but I hope it helps with your decision.

Thanks for your opinions! Keep 'em coming.

I have a few question on ETM PC version myself:

- Is the camera hell-bent on your demise?
- Are the controls sloppy?
- Will it run well on a PC with:
Windows XP
2.4 Ghz
512 mb DDR Ram
Geforce 4 Mx 420 64 Mb DRR ()
- How do people drive with square wheels?
- Is it worth 50 dollars?

It runs fine on my computer:
Windows XP
1.7 Ghz
256 MB DDR Ram
Geforce 4 MX 420 64 MB
The controls are good, and the camera actually stays behind you character most of the time and doesn't try to stay as far away as possible from every wall it encounters.
I'd say it was worth the $50.
