Barbarian, which part of China you from?
I live in Tianjin.... (I'm not chinese, I'm american, my father works for Motorola)
I can speak passable Chinese, enough to get around and do every day stuff. I don't understand the characters at all, but pinyin is easy.

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

That's what everybody learns first in any language. However, English is kinda poor in this respect, so the few swearwords they have are so overused that are gradually becoming a part of normal everyday language without causing much concern
Btw, Barbarian, you're writing quite well for a guy who says he knows very little English. Staying in TLR wil also help you develop your English skills (in a way)
Another way is to find a teacher who speaks only English - that's what happened to me (and I started from zero, mind you).
I don't have a drinking problem. I drink. I get drunk. I fall down. No problem.
