X2 Released in September
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Yeah I'm looking forwards to X2's release as well.
One good thing about Freelancer and its limited replayability is that after I got bored with Freelancer, which like many others didn't take very long lol, I was able to reintroduce myself to X-tension and familiarise myself with the game in preperation for X2's release. So Freelancer does have some good points after all
Hengist.

I have been playing alot of X-Tension, very good game. I bought Freelancer last night after reading many reviews. What motivated me was Gamestops return policy, after 1 week, and the MOD community.
I am hoping that there are some devoted fans that will put together MODs much the way fans of Battlezone II created Mods and vastly improved the game of Battlezone II, but single and multi.
One FL mod has a new system, so that is promising, that we can expand this universe.
I was also thinking of getting EVE, but wasn't sure of the monthly charge. So I decided on Freelancer.
I have played Battlecruiser millenium, but was frustrated over several things, no promised multiplayer in the end, you have to buy Gold. An the forums are talking about lots of MP troubles in BCMG.
Freelancer is a solid product, hopefully with a good future with MODs and official Microsoft expansions that will improve the gameplay.
I have decided against getting X2 simply because there is no MP, and there is so much more I could do with X-Tension. The graphics look tempting, but I have to pick-and-choose because of time considerations.
Here are the games I play both in SP and MP
1. Battlezone II - with Forgotten Enemies mod
2. NeverWinter Nights
3. Freelancer now.
4. X-Tension.
Notice all are free Multiplayer. Who needs everquest!
