This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

To the AIW 9700 PRO ownver... and others

Dear AIW 9700 Pro owner,

Just switched my Radeon 7200 to my AIW 9700 Pro. Works just fine, updated the drivers, played big games at full details. But, the fawking TV Out won't work. It worked the very first time using a S-Video wire with a S-Video=>Composite adapter at the other end of the wire. It worked, but the image on the TV was in black and white. So I figured: "What the hell... must be the little adapter that I used". So I tried using a composite wire . But the TV Button grey'd out and since then... nothing ! The fawking button is grey'd out, as well as YPbPr (that wasn't before) and I tried everything I could do ... wtf is going on?

If any of you had this problem, please tell me what you did to fix it !

Thanks!

The S-Video standard has 2 overlays -- black & white, and color, which are independant and are interleaving. So, your adapter could have been broken (ie didn't have all 4 channels for the S-Video)
Then you tried the composite (fair enough) and the TV became unavailable...?
OK, I'll suggest a simple troubleshooting, and no, I DO NOT take you for an idiot (some of the questions may seem to imply that you are):
1. Hit the "Detect displays" buton now and after EVERY change you make
2. Check the cables. You may have connected the cable to the video-in on the card, and not the video-out, as you supposed to do
3. Check the color-system, and set it so that it corresponds to the color system on your TV (NTSC 4.43, 3.58/PAL-B,D,G,K,M/SECAM,me-SECAM)
4. Check the resolution that you want to show on your TV. Also, while you're at it, check the refresh rate (50/60/100 Hz, depending on the TV)
5. Switch the TV on AV (audio-video). If you have multiple AV-ins then switch between them (AV1,AV2,...) and hit "Detect displays" after every switch
6. If you messed with the drivers, or with too many settings, reinstall the drivers

If you already tried all of this, and it still doesn't work, may i suggest hitting your TV with a fairly large hammer, until it begs for mercy and promises it will work, then do the same with the Radeon...
Good luck!
