Um S.F. isnt the HQ of Gays. Thats probably one of the most stupid ideas ive heard. Every major city has a gay population.

S.f. Bay area has a ton of liberal people.

Theres a vast majority of people in S.F. that are not gay.

Do you want a history lesson of what S.F. has done for California and the good ole USA? with S.F. There wouldnt have been a California.

I live in Redwood City but i think S.F. is a great city. Theres so much to do and the ladies are hot. The S.F. bay area has a huge Heterosexual population. Calling S.F. The Gay capital justs shows how little you know of the City and the Bay Area.

Anyway i thought i read in the game something about S.F. as a planet or something, I was curious where.

PS: I'm sure if you travel to CA and take a trip to S.F. and the surrounding area you will understand. S.f. is one of the greatest cities in the world, despite the liberals and the small gay population. the weather sure as hell beats Chicago =p

JTCurry5 has a point, in that SF has a neighbourhood that's traditionally gay (the Castro), and it was one of the first cities to openly have a 'gay' neighborhood. SF was also the home of the first society dedicated to homosexual's rights in the US, the Mattachine Society. For the straights, SF had the first topless bar in the US, though these days it's just a regular sports bar. But the best thing about San Francisco is its bookstores. I'm convinced that the City Lights is the finest bookstore I've ever been in, and may very well be the best in the US.

I'm not a big fan of San Francisco, but I've only been there twice. Once in 2000 I was on a flight from San Diego (which I really like) to Portland (which is a beautiful city too, but there's so many wackos there that I'm almost ashamed to admit it's my hometown) and the plane stopped in San Francisco but it was foggy and part of the air traffic control system was down so the plane took an extra hour to take off from San Diego and then we had to spend a half hour over Monterey in the holding pattern. The other time I went there was 1994. I was with my family and we went through the west side of the city and over the Golden Gate Bridge. We got out on the north side of the bridge so my dad could take a picture. Then something cool happened. A submarine was heading out to sea and some windsurfer was on a collision course with it, but when he got too close the submarine's bow wave wiped him out. Then we went across the Richmond - San Rafael bridge because we were trying to get out of the bay area towards Sacremento. In Richmond we took a wrong turn and ended up in some project. My dad's going, "roll up the windows kids!" Luckily we got out of the hood without incident.

That wasn't a wrong turn, it was the only way to get to I-80 from that bridge.
