NGC 1365: A Nearby Barred Spiral Galaxy

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Why, yes. Do you know how to? if so, can I come and visit and watch how you 'operate' YOUR 'telescope'? I'd rather you not touch mine, of course. that would be...

I sense a click coming

Lemme get this in before it gets clicked.....

I know what TG uses the telescope for...and it's not looking up in the sky......

Hehehehe

It does not really work that way. A telescope is calibrated for very-long distance object. Try to peek to something on Earth, like perhaps, the hot neighbour and you get inverted image. So unless zero-grav peeping object turns you on...

If that's your real goal, a pair of cheap binoculars will do. Now remember, turn off the lights while scoping. I learned that the hard way. Damn restraining orders disallowed me from owning anything with a lense in it...

your local pervert at your service !

Going locked is the same as going clicky.

you can barely see mars with such a telescope.... let alone that nearby spiral galaxy

or some of you guys might work at the astronomer

Post Fri Apr 18, 2003 9:15 am

isit>>?? nvm . . . mars is just a bright dot in the sky. my dad used to tell me that the brightest star in the sky is mercury.. turned out to be a star in one of the constellations..

I had a cheesy telescope that was made out of cardboard tubes....

I hated it....

This is the one I want...

I have an old small telescope somewhere in the basement.
Kinda like the one Argo wants only way smaller (and cheaper)
Never use it, I did sometimes years ago.

oh and kyp

if there were a black hole at the center, wouldn't it consume all of the galaxy in a certain time (say about billions upon billions of years)
