@kimk: well, these bands are known in the whole Europe and beyond. It's just that if you're not into serious metal, you simply don't care. Most of the bands have tours and sometimes even visit my small country - among the more prominent concerts at home were Sepultura, Dimmu Borgir (even got the autographs!), Rammstein, Moonspell, Therion, Apocalyptica, Destruction, Susperia, Borknagar. No small list.
@Enrique: real nice to see some metalheadz here!

Nu-Metal/Alternative Rock
Linkin Park

Rap
Eminem
Tupac

Rock
Tenacious D
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Bon Jovi
Dire Straits
Nickleback
Nirvana

Misc
Hans Zimmer (Leave No Man Behind and his rendition of Minstrel Boy are the best but don't say no to things like Tribal War and Barra Barra)
Moby
Muse (These guys rock so hard to describe the feeling when listening to em)
Red Dwarf End Theme (The song that goes "It's cold outside theres no kind of atmosphere...)

Ramnstien are Heavy Metal/Death Metal, Mutter was their best.
At the end of Ramnstien/Ramnstien (THE SONG) the singer will set himself alight and some of lirics when translated are DEATH more than Heavy. Confusing no ?

@pieman: I think you would enjoy listening to "Graveworm"'s cover version of "Fear of the dark" - this rocks! Almost as good as Dimmu Borgir's cover of Accept's "Metal heart" with their metal version of Beethoven's "Fuer Elise".
@heltak: Rammstein's concerts are cool, arn't they?
BTW, I recently spotted an interesting band from Japan - "Shadow". Play the Swedish style (black-death), released by Spinefarm (a Finnish company). Veeery interesting.
Metallica were cool once (I even was their fan - went all the way to Stockholm to see their concert), but, IMHO, they should've left the stage after their "Metallica" or, at least, after "Load", in full glory and flying colors rather than gradually becoming one of the many grunge bands. Still, tastes may differ...

Metallica/Metallica is the Black Album... Hssssssst! Damn sellouts.
Ramnstien are cool if strange and unintelligable to me.

Avril needs to take some happy pills and remove the Harlot Mask +5000 To repulsion +60 to Chance to petrify fans.
