Interesting Problem......

ok i've made a custom ship and succesfully got it in freelancer to play lalalala...

now i played with the hardpoints a bit and redone the texture.....

here's where my problem comes in. i'm at the ship dealer i can see my model and the lovely textures i gave it, as soon as i click on the button to look more indepth it quits to desktop.

any one.....

any comments would be good, if you need a look at the files i'll post'em

Whats the package that your selling your ship with? Post up the goods.ini entries here..........its been so long since I found what can cause this, that I can't really remember anymore . However, good start is always that goods.ini file

I have a feeling that the contrails do not have to be added in the goods file, so this could be causing a problem because hte game is trying to add something that is not available to be added if that makes any sense. So try removing the lines in goods.ini that add the contrails to the contrail hardpoints.

If the contrail hardpoints are in the cmp file then they need to be in goods.ini
If you did not put these hardpoints in your cmp then take them out but this is not causing your crash.
comment out everything but the engine, power supply, scanner, and tractor and try to launch.

if you cannot launch, check your cmp file to see if you have HpMount, HpTractor_Source, and HpEngine01 in your cmp file.

Glock is right - remove everything except the scanner/engine/power and try that.

I would also urge you to check your custom weapons as well.....

Would it matter that HpMount had 01 on the end?

EDIT: i've changed the name of hpmount to 'HpMount', also removed the contrails and guns.....but still quits
