the deep space nine server suck, they are a bunch of whinei babies that dont alow pirates. the are a "family server" but thos game is for teens so it shouldnt be that offensive when someone says dam.. this server is a joke. i would join ur clan but one the server sux and 2 they have banned me for picking up someones loot or pirating. goodbye

First of all, there are pirates allowed on our sever. We have a pirate clan on there, plus lots of individuals on there who are pirates themselves. Yes it is a family server, as we have children and adults on there, and some of the players are actually the father and son playing together on the server. We pride ourselves in making sure players dont swear, not firing in the no firing zone and not shooting players in the no PvP systems.

We have forums where we let players know whats happening on the server, and or course the rules for all the players - whichever character they want to be.
Our server is very well policed, and with over 2000 players who have visited it, it has done pretty well since we first started 5 months ago.

We have a policy - break the rules and you are banned, but you have warnings first before you are banned. Its not us that are complaing, its you. If you got banned, then it was for breaking the rules. If you didnt read the rules like you were asked to by console when it welcomed you, and by the DS9 member that welcomed you then that is your problem.

Putting our server down is very noble of you, shame you couldnt come on our forums and tell us this instead of doing it behind our backs.

I also have a screenshot of you swearing, which I would be more than happy to email peeps to see the very bad language you used. The worst part was, you used it over system chat, wher kids could see it.

And yes you nicked someone's loot, you never asked, you took it. Then you had the cheek to sell the guns that you stole from the other person and sell them to make money for yourself. We pointed out it was wrong, I did not ban you for that, you got banned for swearing.

Well I have been on the DS9 server for about 4 months,and sometimes things dont go perfect,but nothing ever does,the clans are a good bunch,they try very hard to be fair,and so do the pirates,but someone working very hard to make him or herself a little money by shooting nomads,or kresses and some other player sits and tractors in their loot and does nothing to help is wrong.And for the swearing on the server,i dont belive in mistakes on chat,i for one have to put thought to what i type,a slip of the tounge is one thing,[i am guilty of thatbut to type out bad words for all to see,there is no excuse for that,i wonder if he takes to his mother that way?DS9 server is the best server going for a family run place to play,it is policed very well and the rules are not that hard,if you have any respect for yourself and others,this is the place to be.if not,maybe you would be better off playing on one of the other 400 servers around the world.

I can understand the swearing, as many times there are kids that will see it.

However, I personally dont feel that there is anything wrong with stealing other players loot, it makes the game more challenging

The victim will just come back with his class 10 ship and take his revenge on the player anyways

But, to each is own I guess...

Well if someone has worked hard to blow ships up, as our regular player does, then he invites certain players to help themsleves.

It is just plain bad manners and downright rude to go helping yourself to something that is not yours. Maybe I should refine the rule of looting to doing what you want in the pvp zones, then they can fight over it. But in the Admin policed no pvp zones, we prefer to have players behaving themselves and not to encourage fights in New york.

Anything goes in the PvP zones, so i can highly encourage nicking players loot there, lol.

Oh, ok I think I missed that they were stealing loot in the no pvp zones.

That makes sense because the players will not be able to fight to get it back.

Well I came on the DS9 server and anounced that I was looking for a SIR clan member and although there were a couple on there including king arther himself the only response I got was from the console threatening to boot me off if I continued to hang around manhatten ??? bit dissapointing really

The reason we dont like players hanging around the manhatten area is because some players come out and start shooting, and if you are in the way, they will blow you up. With this new feature of players now dropping loot when they get blown up, you would have lost money.

As for the Sir member, I am sure it wouldnt have killed you to open up your chat log and see if he was in the player list. You were told three times not to hang around manhatten area, it is also in the rules that you dont hang around there.

Another prime case of a player not reading the rules when they first come on.

I did read the rules and I read about hanging round manhatten - I didn't say I GOT booted I said I was threatened with it. I only stayed long enough to get the one warning. Also I DID use the chat and got no reply. I understand your reasoning behind defending your server but before you start pointing the finger at me I suggest you check out your own back door you may find this hard to believe but I doubt even you are perfect.
