hmm well to be honest i don't really want an unknown guy to have my speeder ... but then again it would be cool to see it in action. So if he really wants the modell, then he can use it...and a little note that i created the model would be nice

I'm in the process of redoing the Tarsus now. Current version doesn't seem to have any jamming problems, though it needs thrusters. Trimmed down the poly count and applied Havoc's new textures, lemme find a pic.

I uploaded a refined Paradigm and Perry as well. Perry is just minor changes actually - mostly in an attempt to fix the turret orientation (it failed). As a result,there are now twenty turrets and 100 running lights. I'll upload the loadout so you don't have to waste your time typing it out.

There's also only one dock mount, HpDockMountA. Hope that fixes the docking problems.

(BTW, does the Paradigm always gyrate wildly like the driver is drunk?)

The Tarsus' weapons are very limited in their angle of rotation.
Tyro called it jamming, but they won't fire up, or very far to either side.
If you're not in "mouse flight" it's easier to see.

Yepper, the Paradigm stops, goes, gyrates, etc.
I put a note about it in the Readme file.
(You definately don't want to join formation with one!)

I'll check 'em out tomorrow.

well i only want to tell you guys that i'm on holyday for 3 weeks. (i'm currently sitting in front of an old old laptop ;D ). Therefore i can't contribute any modells in this time :\ . Sorry guys...but on the otherhand bob told me that you get another modeller. And what i see so far from him looks way better than my models

Well if you need me anymore, ill be there in 3 weeks.

So the other day I was playing the latest build of Reckoning, when I thought to myself "you know, this game really needs more Bearcats".

Hehe, seriously, I was fed up with the longwinded ship export process and took some steps to try to cut it down. Additionally, I needed a guinea pig to test compressing multiple textures into one. I don't think I need to tell you I succeeded.

What this means, basically, is that you can expect more WCIII-on ships in the future, including possibly the Dragon and Excalibur. Right now, though, I need to focus on unbreaking the Talon and Paradigm.

LVOCCVTLA's back, so here are the ships on the texturing todo list:

- Gothri (pics on server)
- Demon (ditto)
- Clydesdale, Drayman (on modeling to-do list)
- Tarsus, Galaxy, Orion (being done by PeteyG of VegaStrike)

(Been having problems with your new address, or are you ignoring me?)

I discovered that the DirectX CTDs/messages are due to missing files.
Presumably the missing TGA files I keep getting messages about.
Since the files are on your computer may be the reason you haven't been able to duplicate the crashes?

If you can fix the Bearcat, and the Paradigm mat files, that should do it.

Update:
Got a new Tarsus from Sadra.
It's closer to the size it should be...
The guns rotate much better...
And it's got the top-mounted turret, too!

Haven't had the time to browse the front page much lately.
Took some time out tonight, and found:

It's a Hardpoint editor!!!
I'm gonna take a few days and straighten out every ship in the mod!
(Also works on the stations!)

Also...
Sadra has made a model of the Mines in Privateer 1.
Just need to add some docking HP and it'll be good to go!

Went through and repaired all of the hardpoints on every ship except the Paradigm (To big to edit in that program.)

So, the Talon's now have working missile racks!
The Demon, for some unknown reason, became visible when I fixed the hardpoints, and is back in the mod!
The Sabre's guns ALL fire/track!

Also went through and redid all of the sur files.
An awful lot of them had Rhino sur files.
(Mostly the older ships.)
A few ships, like the Sabre, are so flippin' large, there's no sur that'll fit!!!
And a couple of ships, like the Demon and Drone, sit on top of the sur files, instead of inside them.
I was surprised to discover that the Hellcat, and the Morningstar, are the EXACT same size as the Dagger.

I also lowered all of the ships.
So, now, when they land, they're not 50' off the ground!
Most of them are only a foot or so up.
Looks alot better.

I also fixed some Headlights, Running Lights, and Contrails.

Lucked out...
Only took one day to fix every ship!
