Paradigm textures are uploaded. Should be close to the final cut.

Still waiting to hear on BoH_Havoc's galaxy model with my textures.

Next up: Demon? Gothri?

If that is already in the game as such, then no texturing is needed! Looks really good!

I have no clue what MAT files are.. what are you referring to specifically?

the demon looks like it would be problemmatic.. the model is untextured.

The MAT file is the texture file used by FL for everything.
Unlike MAX, cmp files do not include the texture in them.
It's a seperate file.
The MAT file.
If you've downloaded the mod...
Look in the Data\Ships\Geminiwc folder.
Every ship has these 3 files:
1) CMP-the model
2) MAT-the texture
3) SUR-the "surface" file that actually takes hits from weapons, or collisions.

Then there is a relationship between them that stretches beyond my knowledge..

I have been drawing JPG textures in 512x512 and 1024x1024 size for BobMcDob. He is the one who wallpapers onto the models. Other than that, no idea..

Nope!
Causes a DirectX error, and CTD's after a few takeoffs and landings.

oh, as far as I know it is the same model... but Wing Commander Saga team created new maps for it

Btw what do you mean its messed up and has to many textures? When I was messing with it in MilkShape it looked fine.

It also apparently has twenty-two textures which don't show up. And the model has those crazy disappearing faces that plague all Origin models.

I uploaded all the meshes I could find to the FTP, under Havoc.zip. This does not include the Galaxy. (I suppose I can try extract it from game). If you don't have the FTP, email me and I'll send it.

That problem with the Demon... i wonder if that FLRADIUS (featured on the front page of this site!) will fix it so that it wont disappear!

Can you use some of the textures or maybe the jpg>tga conversion went down the drain?
So this mesh is no good for FL and same goes for any other moddels made from it.

22 maps? Hmm... you should definetely reduce number of textures. I would not recommend using more than 10. Most of the ships I converted do not use more than 3 maps and it is still sometimes difficult to get them to work.
