Like I mentioned before, Harrier had been finalizing and texturing the new Enigma that I built to replace the old Kusari Nazo model. The model is now finished and carries an awesome texture by Harrier. Here are some screens of the ship in action.

Richard W, we are going to release a private beta for our official test servers soon. We will keep you up to date on the progress and send you any necessary files when the beta is ready.

The beta has been sent to both White Noise and Evil Empire.. Give them awhile to get them up.. and then go play - *ahem* test..

Hopefully everyone who is interested in the Beta has been able to get a hold of it...If not, let one of us know, and we'll get in touch with the Beta admins

Anyway, I've been redoing most of the Northern systems (38th Parallel connections), Akuma and 38th Parallel will be left alone, the ones being redone are the following;

Arachnia
Century
Zone 21
Mace

Also, for those of you that have tried the Beta you may know about the system Capricorn. In the Beta, Capricorn is basically empty except for a base and some system connections. Anyway, that system is being redone as well. So far I've basically finished off Arachnia, Capricorn, and Century. Mace and Zone 21 will be redone shortly Here are some piccys...

hi i just wanted to ask a question in the beta tegakis base in thoku there is nothing in there but when you look at the bases info it sells things are you going to finish that and make it dockable?

Hi Guys.

I reinstalled Freelancer yesterday and searched a mod, which adds new, unused content und offers more possibilites than Eagle / Sabre / Titan. I found Epsilon Mod and soon, I chose a server.
After a few hours of work and a few conversations with the admins of this server, I was able to purchase the Hermes, that monster with 5000 cargo and this elite turrets, you know?
Unfortuneatly I had to experience something really bad. The best frighter ingame is too big to dock on stations and battleships! Docking on planets works fine, while docking on stations and battleships ends with a stucked, huge ship, somewhere in the station. Due to the "stuckness", I do not get any loading screen and therefore I'm not able to enter the station, which is quite ridiculous with the best frighter ingame, who is only able to enter 25% of the dockable objects at the moment.

I please you, the Nova Design Team, rescale or resize the Hermes. It's a bad fun killer to pay 14 Million Credits to experience, landing isn't possible and therefore (really profitable) trading as well.
As I regarded the landing cutscene a bit intensive, I recognized, that the Hermes always tended to the right sight instead of placing himself in the center. Maybe the anchor is wrong or something like that, I have no clue about modelling and its periphery.

that seems to be an on going problem even with 3.11 it was a problem.

Well...

Tegaki's base.. hmm.., so far as I know it's not dockable.. (it's always a hostile ghost to me lol), maybe it could be made dockable.. but to do so I think you will probably need to be nomad neutral at least.. now thats not really hard in our mod so long as you kill the 'right' ppl.. I'm not the coder.. but I'll ask..

The Hermes.. ....Has been sent to haunt me..

We detail (and i'm not being rude here.. honest).. that Hermes will not dock at bases .. there is a reason for this.. the Hermes should not be available until late in the game - due to the cost of the beast.., and it should (logically) be HUGE to carry 5000 cargo.. so it simply cannot just dock anywhere.. Can a prime mover with a 40' tray on the back fill up at the corner garage? .. Plus its a licence to print money.. once you have one.. you are mega rich in a short time.. but you MUST plan as you cant just pick the most profitable destination.. I am honestly trying not to offend .. we think long and hard about balance and the Hermes is not 'balanced'.. so we try to provide some interest at the high levels and the same thing keeps coming up.. "I cant dock.. at..

it seems we have several choices:

If rescale it (and i'm not inclined to)... the weapons it carries and are available for it wont fit..so they will dissappear altogether

If rescale it (and i'm not inclined to)... the cargo will be somewhere between a Silent Runner and Ceres

Remove it altogether.. the problem goes away.. cept that it's back to a Silent Runner or a Ceres and the freighter pilots are disadvantaged

Or you make plans to get mega rich a bit slower..? I'm sorry and I mean no offence but how can we have a big ship that carries lots of cargo without some hassles and compromises..

Hey all, this is Sirius Host of the Epsilon Rebellion 3.11 server.

I would hate to see the hermes go. Players are warned it cannot land on stations. I would like to maybe see a custom train, or something like that. A variety of freighters would be great, even if just the ships that are already in game would be availible for purchase certain places. And i think the player money limit should be 2.1 billion as found in other mods. Its the only way to surpass lvl 78 with the server update released. This is by far the most incredible mod ive ever a. played b. hosted. its great just a few tweaks and it will be perfect. cehck out =www.legacythe2nd.com and look for the forum to see all the players who love and support this mod. over 100 players active with new players every day, this mod is hot, lets give the people what they want! lol take care....

urm 1 word comes to mind when i finished reading this "amazing"

I REALLY cant wait for it to be finished, i want it NOW! give it to me PLEASE! lmfao

i love the glow mapping and the new engine effects they just look kick ass!

ive only being playin Freelancer for 3 and a half months now, but i can see this mod as being one of the greats or the greatest mod. That is my opinion and im dam sure a few people would agree with me.

Heya Harrier and Parabolix,

I have to tell you that I've just started playing Epsilon again, and am impressed beyond measure at the quality of the code, and the craftsmanship of the mod as a whole.

I am humbled by your skills. Something that I might mention... Ro9ue and I worked on a patch for the (now dead in my opinion) Rebalance 3.50 Mod, in which we opened up Tekagi base, which gave missions and had ships for sale, and still worked in SP Campaign mode as well. I still have a copy of the patch file (I think) if you're interested in looking that over. It isn't perfect, but I'm sure that you guys can find and fix any bugs or whatever.

But, more importantly (to me anyway), I'd like to offer some of my ships to you guys for use in Epsilon. I do this because I'd really like to be able to fly my ShadowWrath (and other ships, like the Nightshade and Nightshade II) in the Mod, and don't want to inadvertently mess anything up by plugging it into your mod myself. That would also prevent me from playing on servers as well. I would of course allow you guys to modify hardpoints and modify the textures on the Nightshade, and Nightshade II (I suck at texturing), but if at all possible, I'm hoping that you would at least keep each of the ship's feel, if not their overall texture, which are basically just spheremapped textures that I made and applied because I liked the look of them. Incidentally, you are free to use the textures in other ships if you like, as long as you let people know who made them

Anyhoo, thanks for reading, and please let me know what you think. I can't wait to hear from you guys, and really can't wait to see the new capship in action
