one major gripe I found...i went to west point and picked up a level 2 mission against the outcasts..im not stupid and knew the fight was going to be tough...but they were way faster than me and after 1 pass i had no shields and half hull (and they only hit me a couple times) i tried to turn away to escape and cut my losses but i didnt stand a chance and was promptly blown to bits

why on earth is this a level 2 mission? i have no problem with there being tough mission in NY but please properly advertize them!

PS: although i must add.. what i have seen i like...running away from a group of elementals is kinda fun, though could ya disable them spawing outside a jumpgate....kinda sucked waiting the loadscreen to disapear only to blow up instantly (if this is even at all possible perhaps they could spawn a bit away from the gate and make a bee line giving me small chance to escape)

PPS: the ships look great!

Hi guys, just found a server crash bug in the kandor system, the tradelane from battleship batler to the niyad jump gate is totaly knackered, i tried the lane 4 times at the battleship end, and also by-passed the first gate in order to enter further in, but it still crashed the server when the lane is activated by a player. Hope this helps you out guys

I have try the mod for about 3 days. I have been away from freelancer for more than 6 month, so to me it just like start a new game.

I plave SP, so far here are some of my findings:

1. beside from sitting around rochester base and havest, there are another way of geting memory fast. some of the xenos black knight can drop diablo missle and missle lancher which can sell for good money and not too tough to kill.

2. looks like some of the best equipment only found on NY, I have explored about 1/3 of the systems, but the best power supply is the one I brought in NY, tactor/scaner can be found on other system, but you can also get the best in NY. And so far one of the best ship Mantis (in my own opionion) is also in NY. That is why I go through 1/3 of the systems without change my ship, although I save first before I try the new ship, then revert back. I would like to see the best equipment/ship to be more distributed in the systems, which give more reason for player to explore.

Have been in Kandor almost all day yesterday. No crashes for me. Tradelaned up and down and down and up......., no crash. Parked in front the Tradelane (Batlor side) and near the Niyad gate, stayed there for approx. 8 hours, no crashes.
Checked and tested each encounter involvement in the area separately, no problems found, no crash.
Checked the entries in the ini file, all looks the way it is supposed to be.

This is very unsatisfactory, however strange that may sound. It is very odd that you had alsmost instant crashes, at least that is what I understood, and I have not been able to reproduce a single one. Obviously I would have preferred to find an error. We will watch this very closely and reports on this or other events are more than welcome.

We are sorry for the inconvience.

Got the same problem with the trade lanes and gates in kandor to Niyada. Crashes as soon as I get near it. Had a server setup for people to test on and it crashed each time anyone went near it. Reinstalled freelancer with a fresh install (Uninstalled old), installed the SDK and the mod again. Same thing each time.

This mod is great!!! That was the only problem found so far. If we can not correct it, I may just close kandor off and host the game. Can't get enough of the mod!

Im still loving the difficulty of the mod. but then again, im still in the starting ship. (only cos i designed it.)

You said Crashes as soon as I get near it, it this literally meant? I mean the crash occurs without you docking to the tradelane? Just you being in the vicinity of the tradelane causes the crash? And this only happens near the tradelane Batlor – Niyad Gate and it does not happen with the other tradelanes in the system? Can you confirm this, because it would rule some things out.
Like I explained earlier so far I have not been able to reproduce the error on my system, that is why I am trying to get as much info as possible that might give me a clue to what triggers the crash.
Is it possible for you to send me flspew and serverlog files that were generated while the crashes occured?

Same promblem with the Kandor gatelane here.

Anyone approaching the tradelane, using the tradelane, or otherwise looking at it in the wrong fashion will cause the server to crash (thankfully Ioncross will bring the server up after 30 seconds.)

Updated GAMEDATA files (v6)
All required software has been installed (FLMM, SDK, and the Epsilon 2.73_1 mod, obviously)

i played it in single player went to the system everything was fine untill i came to the rhieland battleship hit dock then freelancer crashed hope that helps in any way

If you get near the jump gate it crashes the server. If you try to dock with the trade lane it crashes the server. As long as you stay away from it, the server is stable. Have tried many different combinations to try and crash it with other areas of Kandor and it is fine. Only when you get Near the Niyad gate in Kandor is it unstable. This happened with players that were testing the mod with me. I run AMD 64 3700 with 2 GIG RAM, windows professional, ect. If you need more specs, please let me know.

Hi guys, black sabbath here, just found a slight problem with the tempest. On the info card for the ship it says you can mount 2 counter-measures, but when you go the hard-points, there missing. just thought you better know.

Also a quick question for the team, where can i can find the mp ini file so i can edit the start cash, as ive looked and cant find bugger all, most of the other mods ive used have had a character folder in the data folder, but there dosent seem to be one there, i know there is one as a few of the other servers have upped the starting cash. Thanks in advance for any help offered.

hi gents ive fixed the cash problem i was haveing. NOw i have another, i know that some servers have instant docking activated, can any tell how to get it working???. thanks in advance for any help you give

Sorry for the time to respond, we have been working on a patch to fix the bugs you've mentioned here. We have found the cause of the crashes and fixed them, the patch is available for download on the front page of TLR. It is less than 2 MB so it is easy on dialup users and includes a version change to prevent crossing of mod versions.

I've already emailed Harrier but maybe it'll help here. This patch on TLR seems to be a client-side patch. Is there and where can a server-side patch be found?
