Earendil,

The problem with the CSV and Juni's Defender is that they aren't 100% coded in Vanilla Freelancer. They aren't buyable so the only coding they have is what is absolutely necessary for them to work without crashing the game. This is why a nano/batt limit is not included in them, we however simply added new entries for them in shiparch and used the same models, so, Yes, there is a limit of 40 nanobots and shield batteries for each ship.

ok DLing mod now *w00t* and im wondering cuz on first page i8 read about making a chaingun. i have a small idea how that could work if it dont already so VERY sorry if im saying something that is known. make it fire like torps, so that way it does use ammo, but very fast dumb fire no energy cost... there ya go.. and im sorry once again if im saying something you guys already did or know how to do.

No worries Megaman, I hope you enjoy the mod With the chaingun, we were going to make it use ammo instead of energy, however, with its high refire rate, you'd need alot of ammo to make it last a long time, which would require us to raise the max ammo allowance to a very high number.

Manu, if you are talking about the Wolverine, it was a concept I was working on months ago, I stopped working on it for a while and forgot about it, it is still on my harddrive and once I reregister Milkshape I can finish work on it and include it in a later version.

hey, the mod is great, by far one of the best i have used ever, but there is one thing i think could help improve the mod greatly, recently the server i use and i have all changed to this mod, purely for its greatness, and all of us there are still exploring, i found the hermes, the super cargo ship, which looks amazing and has great weapon and systems set up and of course it can be changed for better parts, if you can find them, the problem here is, you might find them, but you'll proably need to get a rep fix, or there on a station, although you can get permission to dock at stations, you'll start to dock, but get stuck in the docking hold, and the sequence will neverend, basically, here we could use a good old fashioned quick dock patch as so the hermes can dock with stations, my reason is all the best parts are on planets which i need a rep fix, and can only get them at freeports which i can't dock with?

The Hermes is like that for a reason, it was designed to ONLY dock with planets and large bases, otherwise it gives the player who uses it an advantage, plus anything that is available in equipment, weapons etc.., is available on planets as well.

One thing that may help is to hit the 'esc' key as soon as you enter the docking sequence.. it should/may allow you to dock by short-circuiting the docking graphics.

Guys! Bravo!!
I've just played a couple of hours to the version 2.73.1 and switched back to the old Freelancer.. And I was petrified!! This MOD is awesome, I can't imagine playing the original freelancer as the balancing is boring compared to all your innovations!
OK, that's the first "super" mod I tried, I need to see others to have a complete point of view, but it's really awesome for now.

Actually, I'm just wandering about the recent addons, Version 2,75 is out? Does your mod include Unofficial Patch v1.4 by Buck Danny? (making interference in FMM)

WOW! I'm really amazed at the work you did!

Many thanks for your positive comments, we have worked hard on the current version and are now working on the next version.. which hopefully will be better still, as we are working on a few of the imbalances left in the mod as well as adding new ships, detailing systems, and adding another load of weapons and equipment etc.. as well as addressing some of the cargo drops so its not quite so easy to make money.. Plus many other small changes.

Version 2.75 is available in patch version Here
Since Buck Danny is a member of the team, the mod is built around and includes the unofficial 1.4 patch, so it does not need to be installed in addition to the mod.

OK, thanks for the cue, I was thinking that way but it's good to know for sure (v1.4 thing).

And keep up the great work guys! I love what your doing! Gagdet is the way!

Maybe you should put bigger cargo type ships, with less defenses?? I found the Ceres and the other "little" and I dream of the day I can fly a Super Cargo type cap ship (40000-80000 space) like we can see sometime in the game. Go for the price, I don't want something powerful, I want it useful...

By the way, Mars Flier is way to kewl! A little bit overpowered thought, compared to my start in the game, it's kind of boring me, I think i'll aim for "warlord", looks nice and more "balanced"..

I thought.... for the mars flier.... Maybe that IF it was a transport (BIG big capacity)... with even less flexibility... with THAT firepower (TOO much for a fighter.. Don't have to fight a group of three(even four) in "approach" to destroy them all...), it would be really good... with a price WAY higher then that of the mars flier..........

You're the guys!! I'M just suggesting.... But it's so REAL that the harder is the game, the better it is.... well, i mean, concentrating.. is it fun for you? i dont know, but it sure is for me......... (thought it's real fun to find a real good trade route not THAT hard...) balancing is hard, i know.......

(I'll explain MY way of playing..... I dogfight everything for awhile.. the time to get a "good" fund, mission or else, then I make friend with the necessary guys and the ones around them(to get better funding or "passway", then I CARGO, a lot, with the best trade route possible, bribe a lot, cargo a lot, THEN buy a "good" ship, EXPLORE!!! and find THE BEST SHIP AND EQUIPMENT POSSIBLE.. dogfight, became too powerful, get bored.......) (could be helpful to build a "better" game, (for the creative guys)

Hi! First of all I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all the work that must surely have gone into making this great mod. It looks fantastic; I love the new systems, ships and equipment. It feels excellent: smooth and stable. I do have a few comments and some questions, though. I'm sure some of the comments are utterly moronic and stem from my lack of understanding for server side customization possibilities. Like the first one.
These are only minor gripes, I really like what you've accomplished.

I find that certain systems, like Kandor, are rather laggy with all the debris flying around. I can only imagine how it would work in MP.

I found a trade route that makes levelling a bit too easy. It's in one system, a full circle takes <5 minutes and gives 3K profit/unit, there are trade lanes and I've noticed no interference from Epsilon races. I went from lvl 12 to 40 in no time.

I'm currently flying a Snare 9 (beautiful model, like all the others), with a Repair ship powerplant, and I can burn my ET-09 thrusters constantly. Same with the Scimitar powerplant. Now, don't get me wrong, I enjoy my 950 top speed, but it seems to me that maybe there is room for some limitations on thruster regeneration rate.

Question / spoiler request time

Hell's Keep: It's supposedly a Nomad base, but Nomads aren't listed as a faction, and I don't know if it's possible to get on their good side. I wanna get in!!

The Nemesis: Where is it? I've been exploring like a madman, but haven't found it yet. I think I've located all the other ships. (Edited, since I had found the Ni'Haal)

Do EDI have a base? Is it in Liberty? Kusari? Please, help me out. I'm begging here!

I found a bribe for the Spiders, but didn't want to spend the cash then. Now that I know they have a planet, I kinda want to bribe them. However, I can't for the life of me find the place again. I've been shooting up Lizards wherever they pop up, but it's taking forever.

Are there bribes for the Lizards too?

I think that's about it. I fully understand if you don't want to answer my spoiler requests, after all, spoilers tend to spoil the game.

In closing I want to again say that I think you've done an amazing job on the mod; I don't know enough superlatives to do you justice.
