Well..

We are very close to a release..

The current mod has been tested in Multiplayer and has proven pretty stable.
It looks like it will be version 2.73 now as we have again changed more stuff.. mission against Epsilon factions should now be possible.. but be warned.. Spiders in Spiders, Lizards in Tiapan's .. whoot.....

Hello Harrier, hello Parabolix, I've finally got the 3rd THN file completed, and the other two updated and fixed even changed out some of the ships, fixed the engine effects on the 2nd menu, sorry no ships in the 3rd THN, for some reason I could not get them to move other than that... here are some pictures...

seeing how no one cares about my menus in any possible way shape or form... ... anyways, to the point, was watching "The Right Stuff" for the 1000th time today, and I was thinking that maybe Trent should try to look more like Chuck Yeager, so I made a possible Chuck Yeager outfit for the Mod, Black Leather Jacket, White T-Shirt, Denim Jeans... please tell me what you think...

Chuck Yeager Uniform.

Does anyone know of any servers running this mod. When I start to play in multiplayer mode and filter out the servers running incompatible mods, everything is gone. Not a single server running this mod (or so it appears)

Earendil's Boston2 Server runs Epsilon Mod 272_4. You can download the latest patches at Boston Server's Website . Once the official release is complete it will be available here.

@steve62 - The latest version is 2.72 and that's what you'll see when you see Boston2. If it is greyed out then you have a different version numbered mod.

Also the download for the latest Epsilon mod is in the Downloads page, linked though the Way Points block on the right side of my home page. See you there!

any news about the mod

Post Fri Feb 25, 2005 1:53 pm

Yes, actually.

The mod is very close to release (we've been saying it a while but this time its actually true). There were alot of errors that needed fixing, plus Harrier and I were each finishing up our own ships to add to this version, IFSO files needed to be done (a couple more need to be done, those will take about 2 minutes ) and a couple things sorted. I am currently writing the readme and finishing the ship manual, after those few things, the mod will be ready for release. We have been trying very hard to get this thing released, we just dont want to have to patch the mod in between versions. We feel its better to release one 100% version than a 90% version with patches to make up the 10%. So please bear with us, this new version will definitely be worth the wait. If you want to play the beta, you can download the mod at Earendil's Place - Boston Freelancer Server Website and play the mod on their second server.

Update time

Mod will be off to TLR very shortly. A couple more bugs (including one crash) have been found and taken care of. The new update will be a great one, including 15 new ships, plus Juni's Defender, the CSV, and the Anubis, all of which have been beefed up to give them an appeal for those in the market for a new ship. About 40 new weapons have also been added, ranging from level 3 to level 10, new powerplants, engines, and miscellaneous equipment has also been added. I've also been working on a ship manual, an equipment manual, and a survival guide. Once they are completed, along with the readme, the mod should be off to TLR very quickly.

Support our host server, Boston Freelancer, at www.earendilsplace.net. They also have an excellent server for "vanilla" Freelancer.

@Parabolix - On Boston, our vanilla server, our Server Deputies use Juni's Defender and we've noticed they basically have unlimited bots&bats storage. I can't remember but I think I also didn't open for use the CSV because of the same issue. Has this been plugged?

There is a good reason at least from an admin point of view. Although bots&bats are $200 each, they don't show up in the character level! I had a Juni's Defender with over 10,000 bots&bats EACH. That's over $4M total in bots&bats alone but the rest of the ship was stripped so I went from the level 30's to level 2. It's just another way to "hide" cash and it would be nice if this "hole" could be plugged.
