Oh starwars sounds for the engines. That would be cool. Can't wait for that one. On another note, there are only 1 version of raphael guns which came with the X-wing? I mean there are no higher level raphaels? Just asking.

Ummm, Dan... I, ahum, saved up for the centurion and you were nice enough to include the level 7 Graviton shield with it, this provides enough protection... Atleast enough for my 7 Dublin dusters MK2 to finish off any anoying corsairs.

I must say that it takes ALOT of punch to take down a single Liberty cruiser, but I managed to kill a few without using any torpedoes.

Anyways, did you figure out yet how to include Escort missions ? The guys from frost works claim they solved that, I sure would love those in your mod. Perhaps the cool looking B5 Thunderbolt could also be included in your mod ?

I did notice one HUGE change, even after purchasing a new ship the bounty hunters remain hostile, in the original game you get some piece of mind after swapping ships. It is annoying to leave a tradelane and find 4 bounty hunters, 4 mollys and some corsairs waiting for you and when you kill the bounty hunters they get reïnforcements from the JUNKERS !

I also hear everyone talk about missing names, it appears I don't have that problem. I wonder what purpose the expensive Deep scanner serves though, costs 36.000 credits but I notice no scanning improvements. And I can't sell my engine after purchasing a upgrade engine ? I am going to try the race now, I'll buy the mk2 engines and see how it affects the race.

Another thing, the Centurion comes with Corsairs heavy fighter Power module, when I switch to the more expensive mk2 power module it is of less performance ? I can constantly fire all 7 dublin dusters without my power bar reducing with the corsair module, but after the upgrade the bar reduces slightly after each 7 shot volley.

I just won the game with the mod. This time I won it using the X-wing. At the end I had 4 Usiels, 1 Debilitator turret, 1 starkiller launcher, an adv. sentinel L.F Shield Class 6, Power core MK3 and a Engine upgrade Mk2. The others are relatively the same. This time around it a little harder. My shields were like paper ... almost.

Oh yeah. This is for modders out there how come the new ships in the cinematics the LOD seems a little screwed. It would disappear at some camera angles and range. At least I think its the LOD. The funny thing is it only occurs in the cinematics. Haven't tried this mod in MP though so if can see other players can actually see players with those ships disappearing at some range.

DjVgalen: you're not entirely right, the MKII upgrade module costs 75k and has 8600 power reserves sow it's only 300 less than Centurion's; it was ment as an upgrade for HF like Barrakuda, Dragon, even Anubis, who has 5400, your Centurion comes with a pretty powerful power module which by the way it's not cheap, costs 50k...i did not raised the prices of these incorporated modules
too much because they would have increased very much the total cost of a ship...the Centurion it;s already 300k, and that is a difficult sum to get it takes lets say 12-15 missions at 20k + the value of your fighter(barracuda or crusader).
that advanced scanner has a double range even if u not see it on the map, but when u'll fly arround searching for derelicts you'll notice they appear form a longer distance(5k instead of 2.5k)

I give up, I cannot beat Hovis with this mod installed, how come his cruise engines exceeds my 455 afterburner ? At the start I fire up engines and turn on afterburner and he shoots right past me ? Even flying at normal cruise speed I keep missing gates after the half way mark.

I hate that mission, took me 3 runs in the original and now it is impossible. Can I skip it ? I want to move on to Kusari space and the blasting missions. But I'm guessing that i'm either stuck at this point or I need to load my old save game, great back to ****ty crusader and 50k cash :-(

Edit: will keep trying the race cause that savegame stinks, crusader with starbeams, class 4 shield and 40k heading for the rheinland battle fleets.

Man that took way too much effort, any idea why it's soo much harder now ? On the first play I beat Hovis in 3 runs and now, Jees I stopped counting after 2 hours or so...

no it's not impossble but it is indeed very hard with the centurion, it's one of the worst maneuvrable heavy fighters...try with the Banshee, that's my highest recomendation, it has the fastest cruise charge time so u will have a head start IF u hit Shift-W in the second the race starts. Use the cruise, not the afterburner.it's also very nimble and u'll probably beat Hovis with your eyes closed...I just did. It has only one weapon less than the Centurion so that shouldn't be a problem.

The race was nasty, but I just figured out why you included the class 7 shield with the Centurion, you might want to warn people that they get jumped, in neutral/friendly space, by very powerfull hostile fleets consisting of a rheinland battleship, some cruisers, missile ships and fighters.

My radar was slow and I thought I could handle those 4 level 10 bogeys on my radar, it was too late when i finally figured out how those 4 ships chew through my shields and half my hull at the first pass... I thought i was in neutral Kyushu space :-/

Drat, I had just retrieved those nice guns, sunblaster B thingies, I had to be within 1048 metres (?) to see it on radar in the kyushu cloud, that is with your deep range sensors. I just need to find a safe place now, they surprised me but didn't destroy me. The mission 6 rheinland fleet couldn't even get my shield half down and i took all those out, maybe you might want to look into that sudden power differential.

I'm just giving feedback as i'm replaying with your mod installed :-)

The bringer of ill news(again)...

Michael Dan, I downloaded your latest Build3. De-activated and removed 05e from FLMM (I didn't install Build2).

The infocards and all looks fine now. No problems with names, except that the engines' infocards supposed to show speeds of 0?

Problems:
Loaded a previous 05e savegame. I bought a full-load of optronics in a X-wing from Leeds. During the loading screen, FL crashed. I tried that again and it crashed too.

Changed the X-wing to a Barracuda. Launched out of Leeds with nothing. Flew around for a few minutes and the game crashed.

Somehow, I didn't see any cruisers/gunboats/destroyers around (may be the cause of crashes; I don't know). My rep turned hostile with the Bounty Hunters too. It was supposed to be neutral when I last finished.

Looks like nobody on the message board has this problem, so I guess it may be just me! I will try to re-install FL and start from scratch to see if it solves the problem.

EDIT: It isn't just me though. Some guys on the mod comment page too have the crashing problems.

I feel ya' dude. I'm all over that other board. U r not the only one, this whole version is essentially unplayable it seems. Oh well... LT will probly set it straight, but.. well I wrote enuf on the other board so check that one out.

As i said at the top of the page I'm saying it again :
EVERYBODY PLEASE DOWNLOAD BOBBA FETT'S SLAVE1 FROM LAUNCHER REACTOR. DO NOT INSTALL THE MOD, JUST COPY THE SLAVE1 DIRECTORY FROM HIS ARCHIVE TO FREELANCER \DATA\SHIPS DIRECTORY. please report if the game crashes anymore. the mod has support for his ship but since the ship does not exist in your ship directory it will cause random crashes

The next version I've already uploaded om Reactor contains the fix to the random crashes everybody its experiencing...it was de loadouts_special.ini file. please be patient till it posted, thanx very much and SORY for the mistake but the work was a little overwhelming for one person....

So the fix is the Rebalance 0.5e build 4?

On another note, someone made an A-wing! w00t! That is my favourite star wars ship.

So Michael Dan, do the crashes have anything to do with the Slave1 ship not in the files? Cuz' I was messing a bit with everything and still there were random crashes. When you said there was support for the Slave1, I didn't think that it meant the ship was ESSENTIAL.

Yeah, running a 1-man show is hard. Salutes to you and all the other modders out there.
P.S. Do you think you can add in that A-wing? LoL.

This mod is the best i've tried so far, looking away from the crashing bug that as i read is about done...
Want to add the a-wing to the mod?

yah this mod rocks
but like rentacop says is there too much going on at once ?? does the creator have or need help ??
i like reynen mod but it doesnt give you the same ablity as this mod ! i would like to help email in an earlyer post . keep it comin.

OK so i did both the quick walk arounds . neather or them fixed my problem . the ship may be there now BUT from the start of the game all menus are blank ,
then when in the game all info cards are blank as well as some ship icons dont show up as well as most planets baces and locations on the map have blank names .

You people "users not creator" should worry about the crashing the game will do that when missing files but "slave1 and loadouts_special.ini arnt the only files
missing or messed up SO Michael Dan i hope thows files will be in the next update
or u could just post what files and how there messed up so some of us can learn a littel more about the game
