TNG 1.60 Hovis race with Sith ship

It's impossible!!!!!!! I've tried for an hour to win this race with that ship, but it's going to fast, each time I miss a gate somewhere and lose time because of it...

Has anyone succeeded doing the race with a Sith ship?

Or is there a way to bypass the race (or some missions)? Doesn't amuse me anymore...

Any help is welcome...

Well, ever thought of trying to fit a Battleship through a Race Gate? Its just like that, except that the Sith is fast instead of big. Take a nice Light Fighter that doesn't have a big acceleration...

Well, problem is: I've made a perfect ship: prototype enhancements, some special weapons, etc. I don't wanna lose it for just a race

BTW, where are the best ships and the system with The Ancients?

Im havin the same prob w/ re-balance. I suspect thay made it harder... rings closer togather and Hovis way too fast. I know you are probably the wrong folks to ask, but... help!
(lol-pictures a battleship vs hovis. It might be possible to shut him out of the rings!)

Ya, I tried it with the Enterprise and the Y-wing, I lost all the time.

I just hacked my game and skipped the lvl.

Here is an idea I found in a search... activate speed 1200 or 3000 and watch him bounce off things while you mosey on through! Dunno if it'l work with our various supermods.

Well, there is a problem with that Warlord Bob.

We coded the INIs new, meaning that if you edit the cruise speed, then everything will be abit...odd. It wwon't work. Sorry!!

I used the Save Editor. You go down intill you find the information dealing with the mission. You chance Accepted Mission to 0, deleat everything regarding enemys and way points. At the end, change Mission=Mission_6 to Mission_7, save and go in.

You'll be where you last saved, just fly to leeds and land. Then you get the cut scean with Quintaine.

OK, found it and tried it on an autosave... It works, but I can't continue the story, can you give me more details on what to delete, and what not?

Can't continue the story? How odd....ummm...let me look around.


Ok, on the save editor, scrole down till you find

[MissionState

Change mission_accepted = 1 to mission_accepted = 0

Now, delete everything from [TriggerSave to [BStoryMissionDone. But do not delete [BStoryMissionDone.

Now change Mission = Mission_* (* being the number of the level you're on) to the next highest lvl.

Once thats done, save it. I would recomend changing the name a few numbers higher or lower.

Some numbers it dosn't accept, some it does. You'll have to play around with it.

ARGH!!!!! Still won't work, has anyone of you TNG 1.60 and is he willing to make my save working? I'll send it...... Cos I can't get it right
