Heh i heard a rumor that Canada was launching a Sleeper ship when it was destroyed at launch

Depends on who you believe. Acording to the entier universe, 5 and only faiver were launched, but one bartender on Malta doesn't like to go with the flow. --- VH16

3 & 1/2 yrs later and I still haven't finished Sl. I can't get past the defend the Yamato from torpedos mission, right after you toast the Varyag . Eraser says I'm complete rubbish

it is a terrific game and pees all over FL. and there's no excuse not to have it, as it's budget release, you can get it the US for a dollar, it runs on lower spec hware than FL, but you do need a joystick.

I'd love to see the SL story go on, there's lots of war and skullduggery to cover before SL even takes place, and stacks after as we know from the FL intro. And the Coalition makes such better bad guys than those jellyfish Nomads.

Bad guys? just becuase there commies and many are russian and the USA is on the other side does not make em bad

Post Thu Sep 16, 2004 2:52 pm

I think I can firmly say that if you played for the Coalition, the Alliance wouldn't have a chance, but when you play for the Alliance, the Coalition top-guns don't look so cool, heh?
Reading the history of the conflict, as well as the news current situation does not leave any doubg about who the bad guys are.

That mission is difficult, I'm also stuck on it. Stay close to the Yamato and take out the torps as they come it. Use blind fire if you must. As for the whole good guy/bad guy thing, yeah, go with the coalition. Political freedom's over-rated, especially when many are sill economically repressed. --- VH16

@Taw: I loaded the ship with Solomons - they're ok. I mean, they won't take out all the torps, but your job sure becomes easier.

@taw:
The mission where you take on the black guard and the pukov?
My tips:
After the First basilisk wave launches, kill sone and with near the launching bay until the Kamovs launch, kill all four quickly, that eases up the mission significantly. As for taking down the pukov's turrets, i just sit above the pukovs torp bay and shoot the torps as they launch, if i miss, just fire a hawk or a raptor at it- KABOOM! i think i did it once without a SINGLE torp hitting the Yamato.
