Star Trek Crossover mod

I wass going to start one but gmax wont work but this was an idea:
Replace Fl ships with Star Trek armada 2 ships and try to try the specail weapons.
Also redo voices and systems
Post and add!

hmm - lol, someone else was talking about Star Trek the other day as well - same thing (wanting to make a mod). You can check the other forums, and also top left of screen, check the "show posts of 10 days old" to 30 or so and then find their thread. Contact them and work together to get it moving.....

Yes you can can edit them in milkshape. You need a .SOD file importer, there is a package for milkshape on the net with more importer/exporter .dll´s for other games also. I took some Star Trek models from Star Trek Armada 2. The game has good models with nice textuers on them. There is also a site with many wing commander models, but i lost the link of it.

I allready made some fit for FL and they can be found in the AC2 clanwars mod:

Borg ships; like sphere, cube, interceptor or piramide.
Some klingon like bird of pray and a start trek scout ship that will be a new startership for that mod i believe.

Truthfully, I was one of the few talking about a Star Trek mod, but it wasn't just any mod. It's supposed to be a Star Trek total conversion mod. I just got Milkshape 3D and gmax... but damn, it's confusing as hell to figure out.

And as for how to model the ships, I was thinking of either using the models already existant in Starfleet Command III or the schematics posted on http://www.shipschematics.net/

Hmm that venture class i have allready made an can be found in blackassimilation´s clanwars mod. It also was supposed to be the startership of that mod.

Yes i also agree with you people, it is much easier to get allready made models+textures from other games or from the net. You only need to rescale, maybe retexture or remodel a little and add hp´s . The more time making part is adding all those infocards+ini editing for those ships. This way it is easy and saves alot of time. I made a simple site where i shall post the packages from some of those ships i made ready for fl (package cmp+mat+(sur) file).

Hi, I just wanted to say that I'm making a model of the Defiant which was requested by a fan. He said it's a star trek ship, so I suppose you know more about it. Anyway, if you guys have already began making models then I'll leave it up to you. I could however make it and then when you've made the mod you could include it. Anyway, I thought I'd let you know before I made it.

how about the phaser weapons. how can they be
put into this mod? because the beam weapon mod
that was already created hmm.. is not fit. it should
be the real beam weapon. (like the beam weapons on freespace 2)

Hay if your going to do this i sugest insted of takeing the phaser from the other mod's make your own because there's is blue and the reel phaser is Yellow
Yous could also have a shot at the klingon destrupter with is ushualy a green wepon that fiers 3 pulses at a time. oh and allso the romulans have a destrupter but its green and it looks like a phaser. cool i hope this helps in eney small way but C-ya till the next time
