Rebirth is back with a vengeance!

YEY! Rebirth is up and running again, and I now have the utilities to create a cracking MOD! I'm gonna change the fonts, music, etc. but no more cause I'll spoil it! I've started from scratch again, and it is now rolling!

It is in fact going to be for MP as well as SP, so you die-hard MPs have no need to worry! Cheers for the input from the last thread, and it's being considered and incorporated where possible!

I will be recruiting (kinda) new MODders if you like, and if you'd like to help, email me at [email protected] (not the one in my profile, its mmy college one, and its the Christmas holidays!)

Any ideas would be great, and I'm looking for people to help me with the following:
> New ship designs (like the Bee-One (the bretonian ship))
> Patrols, encounters, etc. out of Freelancer Explorer!
> New factions!
> New voices for the factions, so when you buzz a fellow Freelancer, it'll say "This is Freelancer Beta 4-17 , I'm on a trade mission from the Bretonia system, I'm moving Pharmaceuticals to Planet New London" - The bits in bold are the new bits!
> Anymore ideas would be great! Post them in here!

The MOD will be a Total Conversion for both Single and Multi Player!

So I've finally started the MOD, and using FLExplorer have started the new systems. Here's a rundown of what's in store:

> The flee from Sol, with you flying as an escort for one of the sleeper ships
> Then after a quick cut scene, you dock with your chosen sleeper ship and flee from Sol
> Depending on the sleeper ship you dock with, the following will happen:
\-/ Liberty, Kusari, Rheinland, and Bretonia - Arrive in Sirius, and help trade between planets and Mining Depots to assist in the early colonization of the new planets and bases
\-/ Hispania - Well we all know what happened here, and you choose to stay on the sleeper ship and become an Outcast (and smoke Cardamine, whey!) or leave on the lifeboat and become a Corsair

> Each house will be in one system to start with. e.g. The Kusari system will have all the planets (ie New Tokyo, Honshu, Kyushu, Junyo, Seto, Kitadake, Izu, Aso, Fuji, Hikari) from the seven systems, as well as the Chugoku Dust Cloud, the Nebulae, etc., all within the one system. It sounds strange and tedious, but the cruise speed will be set early on at 3000, so travel time will be shorter than you'd first expect.

> There will be no trade lanes or jump gates to start with, so if you choose Bretonia, you can ONLY fly in Bretonian space.

> A load of new ships, one is obviously the squashed Patriot looking ship from the Intro movie, which I will get the name for when Starlancer is delivered (I bought it off of the net). The ships will initially be made from LEGO (lol i know) by my seven year old brother, who has come up with some cracking names, but shan't reveal, and then using these models will be made in Milkshape 3D.

> This is just the first bit. I will also have a blast at doing the 80-Year War between Rheinland and the GMG, especially the Battle of the Yanagi Cloud.

It is my first crack at a full MOD, and I could really use some assisstance with the following:
- How to use Milkshape 3D
- How to export the MOD into an FLMM compatable format
- How to edit hardpoints etc. on the new ships (I've read the tutorials but need a bit more help from some experts)

AND FINALLY . . .
- Beta testing (a while in the future yet though lol)

Cheers,
Dale
