Here you can announce your own Freelancer MOD and find information about the different available packages!

My question was based on this:

If you have any technical question on how to make these programs yourselves, I would be inclined to help you.

Not to worry though, the project I am involved with will be more useful to me than this. Good luck with your project!

Well, thank you, and good luck with your project as well... Remember, the offer is on the table.

Well we certainly would welcome some assistance with our projects software development. Do you have msn?

Well i for one would just love to play your mod, sounds VERY fun. Where can i get what i need to try it out? (i don't mind submitting my thoughts, bugs, etc in a nicely typed, good grammar bug report, if you so need/desire).

Let me know what i need to do!

My MSN is Tony_K_Jr if you want to catch me that way, OR my email is [email protected]

Thanks!

Always looking for beta testers, you can register at the Grendel Spawn forum. From there, send me a PM (built into the forum, send it to soundspawn) and I'll add your permissions. You'll be able to download the beta version from the site. I also added a single player aspect which is pretty cool, but since it doesn't have any missions (at least not yet), it's just an open SP. The really neat thing is that even though it's not multiplayer, everything is still dynamic, so you can still run into the same changes and such you would if you were on the server.

Still looking for beta tester, ship builders, and anyone with some ideas for plot line based dramatics... Any takers?

Erm, sorry about this being probs a late question, but your new ships seems to be a gross overexageration methinks...........................
So what is it about? 500 trillion trillion trillion new ships????
You might need several billion billion billion new systems to house them into.....

How about ammending the post to a realistic level - lol, how many new ships have you got?? And more importantly, are they NEW ships, or the same as all the other mods?? If they are new, how about some screenies??
Heck, to generate interest, post screenies up instead. That way, peeps can see it instead......captures immagination. Also - am interested in quite what are these 26 individually different upgrades for the ship. I was unaware you could make brand new ones for ships - so how about a teaser of one of the 26 new ones??
Gotta give peeps somethign to get excited about if you wanna get them excited!

Alright, first off, the site is working just fine. Be sure to log in before you try to get into the beta testers area, but you should be able to go right in.

@Chips

The upgradable components are:
Cargo Space, Armor, Shield Batteries, Nanobots, max class of shield, max class of guns/turrets, impulse speed, handling, cruise enging warmup time, power plant size, power planet regen, thruster cap, and thruster regen to name a few.

Screenshots are irrelevant at this time, because these are UPGRADED ships, so they look the same, it's what's inside that different. As far as all new ships, we only have one put in the game at the moment. We have a total of 12 upgraded ships flying around, all with new IDS names, info, and of course stats. You don't actually need a base for every three of these ships, think of this pile of upgradable ships as a mutual pool for new factions. Until they can afford their own ship R&D, they will need to get ships from other factions, upgrade them, and fly them. That exactly what they would do, so they would only be in production of 2-6 upgraded ships at a time, then stop making the upgraded ships once they have their own ships. You follow?

Oh, and the number is 596,216,567,200,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 =
five hundred ninty six quintidecillion two hundred sixteen quadridecillion five hundred sixty seven tridecillion two hundred duodecillion combinations, and that's exactly how many their are, no exageration whatsoever.

Alright, I'll be posting some screenshots within a day or two... Just have to find some things visually appealing.

Completely finished the Grendel Spawn Launcher. 99% sure it's 100% stable (whatever that translates to). For anyone not sure what it is... Think of FLMM. Great program, just great, but it's like a 4 in 1 printer/scanner/fax/copier. It's a vague program, designed to handle just about any medium, and that's great for anybody to just jump on and use. The fact of the matter though is that no 4in1 has all 4 components at the same quality as standalone pieces. If they were just as good, no one would have a $2,000 copier when they could have a $150 copier/printer/fax/and scanner. This launcher is custom tailored for my mod. I will be the first to admit that I looked at FLMM for many hours while thinking up the features this will have, so thanks to the maker(s) to all their hard work. This program, however, runs only with Grendel Spawn, and allows for automatic updates of commodity prices, trade routes, new systems... the list really goes forever. Anyway, just had to rant because Drzzt4.0 and I have probably spent 5 hours debugging that thing (which by the way, I hate Microsoft... they set all folders in windows with a flag of 16, then they didn't bother telling anyone that if the folder is compressed it has a value of 2064... Rediculous). Also, there's sight of a dedicated Grendel Spawn server just over the horizon now, so check back soon for great news.

Oh, one more thing. Everyone should know that I have made this into a SP/MP mod, meaning that you can play online and interact with people, or SP... but both versions have the dynamic content, so you all are urged to register at the forum if you want to play either way, you can have a say in what changes as time goes on, since no matter how you play you'll have to adapt to it.

I just keep thinking of more to say... Made two new weapons, the razorblade (short range, rast refire, extreme damage) and the sniper scope (huge range, 1/4 of the slowest refire rate to date, crazy amounts of damage, huge energy costs). This brings the total of 100% original weapons to 6, which isn't bad since I have the dynamics turned off for now.

That is all for now.
