Mod collection

I was wondering. All you people have these Nomad ships, battleships, cruisers 'n everything. Could anyone make them into a mod or something, and submit it to the download section? I'm kinda lazy, and not too good with searching 53234 .ini files for cryptic variables. (o.o)
And while we're at'it, why couldn't someone make a simple GUI based ship/weapons editor?
Example: Open editor - Open ship menu - Open ship - Edit ship (Right click, and fill in new values. Like "Max Weapon Class = 10" changeable to "Max Weapon Class = 9". That would rock.

you cant combine all mods into one. Theres a few reasons


1. Pure Size. Even if your an expert modder you will have to copt countless files. And with FLMM it just wont fit

2. Some mods arnt compatable with other. Like the Hostile mod and the Reynen mod cant be used together. The kursari gunboat and the speed 3000 mod cant be used together ()

To answer the question which has been popping up.

"What mod are we going to release"

Without spoiling everything, it is bascially a combination of all the best mods around, bab5 mod, rebalance mod, reynen mod, grrsk mod, & hostile universe mod.

Currently we have almost all the people from the above projects testing the new mod.

It is NOT easy work though, but I can tell you it will rule all other mods out there! We are spending ALOT of time on this and once this is release a few of us will not be working with our original mods though, we will be updating, improving, and maintaining the new one.

Actually, there is a way... backup all files that will be changed, go to the mod files in FLMM, and manually change all files that need (acording to the script) and also putting the stuff in the data folder in the right place.

Alternatively you can permanently do this via FLMM, by running the mod, deleting all the flmmbak (or watever they are called) files (stopping the changes being undone). Then de-activate the mod (nothing will be deactivated because you have deleted the files that do this), and then it should work permanently. Also, check that the stuff from the data files are still there because they have a habbit of going even if you delete flmmbak files...

This way you can have all the mods you want running at the same time!!!

Check Freelancer Massive Addon, it is the compilation of many (over 10) mods, that work together. There are many ships, systems, weapons ect. The only restriction is that original game is not changed as far as possible, new stuff is only in new systems.

I LOVE FLMA!!!!! and im thinking about mkaing a server running it as a server side mod... but i cant even connect to global server right now so i gotta figure that out first

nice to hear, thanks.
But to run it on the server you will need to wait for new version or a patch to 1.2.
FMA 1.1 is not stable on the server.
