Does anyone remember a show called Space: Above and Beyond, if you do and you can mod, please do the Hammerhead for me. If you ahve no idea what I'm on about just look at this: http://web-worthy.com/saab/images-hammer.html

I was thinking VHF, 2 torp launcher, one on each wing, 7 forward guns, 3 on the front, one on each tip and one in the middle. One under each wing, and two on the fuselage, on top of the engines, that can turn 360 and fire backwards along with a turret which would be on the rear tip. If anyone can do this they will have my eternal gratitude and a pretty damn fine ship to play with.

well for starters does anyone watch stargate? if u do u'd know the death gliders the goauhl'd(sp?) use, or that human modified one. or what about the alien ships from independance day?

Im just surprised in all this forum full of sci fi nuts ;D no one has mentioned the "Heart Of Gold" or "Bistromath" from the hitch hikers guide... or perhaps im obsessed ;D

Im actually keen to see the starship troopers ships made... heh heh... but im thinking i'd rather do them for a game like unreal or tribes because then you can have the ground assaults too!

Nah, the ship you guys really need (for that true sci fi kitsch feeling) is the Liberator from Blakes-7

Although I admit a flying restaurant, office block or running shoe would be cool espicially armed with kill-o-zap guns.

what about an infinite improbablity drive? - it'd be kinda like the Frontier Hyperdrive malfunctions (pick a system at random) now wtf am I and how many hours will it take me to find my way home...

I think maybe the ships from Colony Wars series on PSX would go well, the Navy (not League) ships have that good sectioned look of the larger traders from Freelancer, making them look utilitarian, but also have a rotating section, which I suppose is used to create a small amount of gravity.

ok, i didnt read any replys, but i have a slightly comical idea: turn the nomads into santa clause riding a sled. oh, and make the "santas" shoot presents. just a comical thought.

Just for the record

The goa'uld ships from stargate and the X-302 would be incredibly easy to make.
The glider would, well, has anyone had a close look at the bretonia gunboats? take the engines off, and move the harpoints around and, voila'. instant glider
And the X-302 would be a modded version of the corsair light fighter, scrap the top and bottom fins, give it another engine, put the hardpoins under the wings, and youve got a 302 (within reason)

The goa'uld alkesh, dropships and cargoships would have to be done from scratch, but would be modelled off each other.

Ha'tak is basically a 4-point pyramid with something around the middle
The cheops(the REALLY BIG SUCKER) could be based on a sized down version of the nomad dyson city, without the shield (unless your doin' anubis's ex-ship) and with some docking ports.

Let me know if your thinking of using this
