** MOD PACK ** Reynen''s Cleint / Server Ship & Equipmen
Here you can announce your own Freelancer MOD and find information about the different available packages!
And teh weird Freelancer coding conventions strike again!
I'm working on a new main menu background for the Rebalance mod... I'm putting in the new ships and stuff.... anyway... the thing is, I can't tell it to give each ship an engine, because the main menu is practically outside of Freelancer... it's all in lua code. anyhoo, that means I have to script and attach EACH engine fire for every ship... that means one on the liberty dreadnought, and somewhere around 9 for the Correlian Corvette... and there's over 30 ships to do 0_o
ehehehe... but it'll be worth it.... you'll see when the R mod is out.
On another note:
Things are progressing well on the mod as a whole.. bugs are being squishied... and the new docking system sounds cool, props to Duriel_LOP for that one.
And finally:
A while back, I mentioned thinking about doing a MegaMan Music replacement Pak, but It's not gonna happen. The sound files are just too big. I got the thing zipped up and it's like 70 meg.... besides... I don't nescessarily want to tangle with Capcom on legal rights and stuff...
Ahhh... legalities......

Reynen: Found the server that has caused people to email you. It wasn't mine, but I found one called 'reynen's mod 2 server' which I hadnt seen before.

For those of you who are having problems with the weapon platforms on missions 8, do the following.
Search the file M08.ini and find the following.
Cnd_WatchTrigger = platform2, on
Change this value to OFF

If you run 1.1 server patch and try to play mods they WILL NOT WORK. MS has made it so once you patch the game it can no longer be modified.
Fair warning. If you upgrade forget playing any mods.

Ya sometimes have to wonder... why let Microsoft have ANYTHING to do with a game? They killed Dungeon Siege by never releasing a stable editor, and only ever had one patch. Now, they've come and eaten Freelancer. Do you realize, the game was supposed to have:
Buyable Engines, Powersuppies, Scanners, Weapon Cooling Devices (Which therefore points to a weapon overheating system) BS encounters, weapon upgrades, selectable MP characters, etc.
But no, Microsoft canme and said: "Is it playable? good. We ship it tomorrow."

Luckily, i already have Reynen's Mod installed when I ran the patch, so now my config is forever to be Reynen's Mod - and if there's an update - or I decide to switch to this other prject - then I'll just clean install each time - its not like Im a busy man.

Allright, kiddies, heres a list of what the new Freelancer 1.1 patch changes/replaces:

Ya, 25 shouldn't be too hard on it. just make sure it isn't getting too hot. Look for Motherboard Monitor online. It interfaces with your motherboard to check heat levels of the cpu and stuff. won't neccessarilly be able to check the video card, but you can get an idea of your overall heat inside your box.

I didn't notice you said this. As I said earlier if you patch with a mod already installed the mod should work just fine. It's just patching the original files then running a mod that causes problems. Go ahead and disregard my email
